Voice of the Day

We are Blessed by the Grace of God......

It was a late night for this girl....My precious dad was living in a different date and time from the rest of us. I had to spend some time helping him understand that his brother (who passed away some 20 years ago) was no longer here. Lol...  I do have to laugh ..... if not I would cry because of the devastating deterioration of his mind caused by this horrible disease!

I suppose we all have voices that speak to us on occasion.  Like me for example.....I have several voices speaking to me this morning!

(Don't click the OFF page......YET)  let me explain!

First of all, I have the voice of laziness whispering comforting words in my ears.   Like:  "It's ok to do nothing today...It's cold outside....grab some food, curl up on the sofa, watch TV, take a nap...BE LAZY"
                       "You Deserve It!!"

The voice of kindness is knocking on my heart.....
"Get up...bake some cookies....share them with friends."    "Do Something Kind for someone today!"

I hear the sound of the IRS saying:  "Don't be late on your tax return."  "Get it DONE."

It seems that I can clearly here noises radiating from my utility room....."Laundry....Stinky, Smelly Laundry......do the laundry!!"

Yet....I'm thinking of that creative spirit that lives within me.  Begging me to allow my imaginative expressions to flow.......    I'll give this one a A+

My mind is racing....it's soaring....gears are spinning!!

Which voice will influence me the most today?

Hmmm....  we shall see!!!

God is Good and Life is Beautiful!!

  1. Oh, I hear that lazy voice a lot! But I think it's just this cold weather. I've become a hermit because of it. Never thought I'd wish for warmer weather, but I am ready!

  4. You will have to learn just to 'agree' with your Dad because you can explain til the cows come home ---and he won't remember... Kinda sad--but that's the nature of that horrible disease... God Bless HIM.

My voices usually have something to say to me each day ---and sometimes I 'obey' and sometimes I am just LAZY... ha ha ---BUT--since I'm retired, I get that privilege!!!! Right?

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  5. I did make a good dent in the taxes this morning, and got half a cemetery photographed for findagrave. And it's 27 degrees. Tomorrow, though...I'm letting my lazy voice have it's say

  7. I am never a morning person but I have to wake up early and literally drug myself out of bed every morning, lol. When I hear the alarm, I continue to lay in my bed contending with whether to wake up, and that voice tells me to sleep a little longer... I hope your father gets better soon. God bless you Ms Shug! :D

  8. It is amazing how many voices one
    person can hear!
I will admit that sometimes I ignore
    ALL of them.

    Enjoy your weekend.
