Seeing Pink.......

Good Morning Friends.......

I borrowed a few photos from some of my friends, to show you the majestic skies during parts of our storm last evening.  The scenes of the devastation from the EF5 that ripped Moore, Oklahoma to pieces, caused a lot of fearful anticipation as to what was going to be delivered through the storms that we all knew were coming our way.

                                                            Before the Storm hit......

Look at this Pink sky......Trista took this photo from her front door!

Mylee was here at our house and I remember her looking out the front door window and asking, "Why is it Pink outside?"   I had no idea what she was talking about, and to tell you the truth, I was visiting with Shanda and never gave her sweet little question another thought.

She really was seeing PINK!!

Another photo of the Pink Sky......taken by a friend of mine.
All of these pictures are the actual photos......NO EDITING WAS DONE ON THEM!!

Needless to say......every clap of thunder sure made me jumpy!

My heart is so heavy for the many people who have suffered all kinds of losses due to the tornadoes this week.   Moore, Oklahoma......being hit the hardest, and then there was Granbury, Texas as well as other places across the Country where small tornadoes touched the ground.

Our Thoughts, Prayers, and Hugs go out to these people!!

I know that this storm system is still moving across the Country.....Praying for the safety of all who are in the storms path.

Blessings This Day......

Shug....

  1. When the sky is pink or has that eerie yellow color, it's very scary. Glad you're okay. My boss texted me last night that the storms were fierce. He lives in Plano. Mother Nature seems mad at somebody! God bless Oklahoma.

  2. Beautiful pink sky! Glad all is good by you! We made it through the horrible tornado in Louisville many years ago and I am still scared every bit as much when I hear warnings broadcast now. Take care and have a good rest of the week, Shug!

  3. The storms may be raging, but in the midst of all that God still provides beauty for us.It is sad to see all the devastation and hard to understand why it has to happen.

  4. Hi Shug, We got some of that same storm here yesterday... Had severe thunderstorm warnings ---and ended up with tons of rain/wind/thunder/lightning... BUT--luckiy, we got nothing severe. Hope you didn't either..

Great photos.. You all really did have a PINK sky.
    Hugs,

  7. My prayers are with all the storm victims. The pink sky looks beautiful even though it warns of the weather to come.
