Recipe Crazy

    Creamy New Orleans Pralines

3 cups sugar

1 cup buttermilk

1/4 cup light corn syrup

1 pinch salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 quart pecans

Combine sugar, buttermilk, corn syrup and salt in a very large pan (it will foam considerably when soda is added) and bring to a nice rolling boil. Add soda, stir and cook until soft ball is formed when dropped in cold water. Then remove from heat and add vanilla. Beat until color changes and candy thickens. Stir in pecans. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. (DO IT FAST before the candy hardens)

I am so Blessed....I have a husband that makes my life overflowing with goodness...He makes me laugh and I absolutely love all of the funny little things that he does.

So many of his 2000 Facebook friends have been posting these fabulous recipes and so Sam shares them in order to keep them on his timeline.

Problem is......about a 1900 of those FB friends are not interested in (RECIPES) and they make remarks in regards to FB turning into a cookbook!

Sam decided last night that he would create a new FB page for posting recipes......HE DID....and it is called

"RECIPE CITY"

All you Great cooks out there......go check it out!

Let me tell you......Sam rarely cooks, he usually spends approximately 20 minutes a day in the kitchen.
This is time spent fixing his morning cereal (all doctored up with honey, and all kinds of spices.)  It also includes the time that he stops at the refrigerator to fix himself a glass of tea, before walking out the back door.

So.....my question is:  What is he planning on doing with all these recipes??

*****

Gonna be a nice day around here.....Hope the weather is sweet where you are...

  1. Husbands are wonderful. My husband does a lot of cooking but does not use recipes at all. I should share RECIPE CITY with my hubby. Hope you have a great weekend.
