Counting Calories........this is my topic today....
Why has it taken me so long to realize what calories can do to your body? Do you count your calories?
In the past, I have never even bothered (didn't care I suppose) to investigate the number of calories in foods. If it looked good....I ate it! If it tasted good...I usually ate more than I needed to have eaten.
Now.....that I am counting calories....
My eyes have been opened wide, to the number of calories that can easily be consumed in a days time.
Did you know that one cake donut (no sugar) has approximately 225 calories EACH. If a person eats two, this means your calorie intake is 450.
In order to walk off 225 calories, one would have to walk a solid hour and even at that you still would be hanging on to 2 extra calories. This means, for two donuts, you would need to walk a little over two hours.
How can it take only minutes (seconds) to cram 2 donuts in your mouth and then take 2 hours or so to burn up those calories? Not fair is it?
As they say....a moment on the lips....A LIFETIME ON THE HIPS!!
Wow....this is all I have to say about that!!
I'm so glad that I have finally figured this out!!!!!!
Have a good day y'all.....

Good luck with that! I have tried and tried and yes, by counting calories. It just doesn't work for me...but what has worked, is not eating so many of those empty carbs( like cake doughnuts)...but instead, get my carbs from veggies like carrots, potatoes, etc. It's tough., so let's do this together, girl. And seriously, I do wish us luck with a smile.

I count calories everyday with an app called myfitnesspal. I've been using it off and on for 2 years and lost 40 lbs. When I stop using it I gain weight and have to go back. Sometimes I forget what I eat throughout the day and this helps me stay on track.
ReplyDeleteHi Shug, I definitely count calories in addition to proteins, carbs, fats, fiber and fluid... (Keeps me accountable)... It's a lifelong process for me ---and I find that, since I've been doing this for almost 2 yrs., things like donuts, sugary candy, and most sweet things really turn me OFF these days. Crazy.. Never thought I'd feel this way.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck. You will be much healthier if you do it.
Hugs,
Betsy
And it is no fun at all!
ReplyDeleteGood luck though.
