Just Chatting.....

This was the view from our hotel room this past weekend...."Dr. Pepper Field."

There just so happened to be a baseball game going on...have no idea who was playing, but it was fun to be able to listen to the crowd yell when something good was happening!

A firework show was scheduled to go off at the end of the game, but it was cancelled due to high winds.  We would have have the perfect view to watch the things bursting in the air.

Can you see what else was in our distant view?   Yep...."IKEA"

Sorry to say, we were on a mission, and this weekend it did not include, stopping at the IKEA store.  Don't you just love this store!  My first visit to Ikea was nothing but misery, but the next trip.....I fell in love!!

Sam, still is not a fan of this wonderful store, but maybe next time he will allow me a few hours of shopping therapy at this place..

The weather outside today is a bit gloomy...We missed the big storms, but we are getting some of the rain!

I sure wouldn't want my grandson (Carson) to hear me say this, but I consider it a blessing that our little dribblers team, got beat out of the tournament...Had they won the big title, then a big group of our town folks (including Sam and I) would have been out in the area where a lot of the heavy storms were passing through...

Well....I sure hope you all are having a relaxing Sunday afternoon...Big hugs to each of you...

  3. What was wrong with your first trip to IKEA? Sadly, I have never been there, there are none around here.

  6. I didn't know that there was a Dr Pepper stadium!! And yes Ikea is great, we have lots and lots of them in the Netherlands in every town, pretty much. So it is very nice to see that here in America people like Ikea just as much!

    Big hugs

  8. I'm glad you didn't get the terrible storms! We didn't have them here, either. But we have had lots of rain and don't need anymore for a while. Hope you get to shop at Ikea next time!
    Have a great day!

  9. I've never been to an IKEA either. Something more to look forward to~~~now to get Bill interested in an occasional shopping trip...grrr, I've learned much patience in that department but my daughter loves to go.
Happy you were severe stormless. The rains are appreciated here. Terrible winds and hail late in the night for only about 20 min. long enough to stop traffic by our field. Scary. Now it's snowing and getting colder by the hour.
