Farm Fun.....

Let me play in the sunshine; Let me sing for joy;
Let me grow in the light; Let me splash in the rain,
And remember the days of my childhood forever!

Ever once in a while, it's OK to give into your lazy side by spending time out doors and just playing around.....

Old vines......What sweet memories....of days when as a child, me, my siblings, cousins and friends would spend hours swinging and playing on the old wild muscadine vines.

These made for some of the best playground equipment EVER!

This past Monday evening, Sam and I went to the farm and tagging behind, was Shanda, Carson, Trey and Mylee....
They all wanted to take the John Deer "Fun" machine out for a little spin.........

The question at hand;  WHO was going to get to drive first?
and the winner was Shan....We toured and explored, up and down the cow trails.....looking for all sorts of things......

and look what we found.....a "Golden" mushroom, growing out from underneath a dried up pile of cow poop!
The kids were convinced that this little thing was worth
hundreds of dollars!

And then we happened upon a "Soul of the South"
playground!!

We had found them!  Vines.....and what a jungle gym it was.
Big huge vines, twisting every which way.....
Mylee Jo, loved them....as a matter of fact, she wanted to go back to the "Farm Tree House" again yesterday.....

We had so much fun entertaining ourselves while riding and bouncing, all over the farm....

We watched the longhorns as they swung their BIG ol' LONG horns back and forth, while trying to keep each other from getting one more pellet of food....

But, the best part of all, was creating those "Days of Childhood" memories, that these kids will remember
ALWAYS......

How beautiful it is to be Alive!!

Warm hugs, dear friends...
Shug....

  2. You know, kids today are really missing out on the simple fun of things right there in nature. Sounds like a fun day that the kids will definitely recall in their later years. How blessed they are to have you as their Godly grandparents!

  7. I agree about the vines being nature's playground!!! So many kids around here get badly hurt on the modern jungle gyms and monkey bars, but you don't usually hear of it happening in real nature, don't know why. What kind of vehicle is this, it looks so cool!!!
