For me....Hospitality is opening our heart and our home and sharing with friends the wonderful Blessings of our family. So.....Welcome to our Home!!
For me, my tablescape is like taking a walk down memory lane.
Remembering how my mother loved to decorate and how she always
made sure that our home was warm and welcoming....
Our home was always decorated for each season...I really think that my mother must have been fond of the Autumn Season...
There were always orange pumpkins sitting around.....Jack o' lanterns that burned bright and candy....oh yes, orange, yellow and white candy corns..
The one thing that always excited me was.....her baking!
Fall....was the time for baking...German Chocolate Cake,
Apple Cakes, Pound Cakes, Custard Pie....and our
home had the BEST fragrance ever. It always smelled like
fresh baked cookies and cakes!
When I have these thoughts, my heart overflows with happiness!
I remember the fun times.....
I am so thankful for the example of God's goodness that my
mom passed on to her family.. I am thankful for her excitement of life...I am thrilled that she
planted the beauty of celebrating the seasons in me....
Thanks for visiting me today....
May you be Blessed!
Hugs,
Shug ~
Reading about candy corns--which was my favorite Halloween candy as a child--I was in Ulta this weekend and Philosophy has a Candy Corn shower gel. It smelled goooood! I didn't buy it but it's still nagging at me so I may go back and get it. :)

Oh Shug, this is such a wonderful post. I think your mom and mine would have been great friends. Your descriptions sounds just like our home when I was a kid growing up. I loved the smells of her cooking and everything always looks so pretty and so welcoming. She also had the most wonderful smile in the whole world. I am sure your mom did too. I love your beautiful tablescape, and you know it's my favorite colors. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
