Is It Summer Yet....

What do you think of, when it comes to Summer?...I think of long days filled with FUN!

Fun as in the POOL...I love pools!  Don't you think that this is rather odd since I don't know how to swim?  I honestly could, relax on a float for HOURS!  It's probably a good thing we do not have a pool, because at the Summer's end, I would look like a sweet pickle or maybe a dried up prune!!  Yikes!

And then, there is this thing called SLEEPING LATE... This is something that I rarely get to do!  Not sure I really know what it means to Sleep Late...does sleeping till 7:30 count as being a late sleeper?

FLIP FLOPS....you better believe it!  I'm crazy about these things called flip flops.  It wouldn't bother me to wear them all year long...all I have to do in the cold season is slip on a pair of toe socks and pop the comfy flip flops on my feet and I'd be set for the day..

What would a Summer be without eating watermelons, drinking lemonade, having family picnics and BBQ's.  Oh wow, I am definitely making myself thirsty and HUNGRY right now!  It is nice to enjoy a evening meal with friends, or to create a few light summer recipes and invite them over for a tasting...

Summer is made for sharing a bowl of tutti-fruity ice cream with the one you love and for taking long walks through the park, holding the hand of that special person in your life...

There are so many things about Summer that I love...fireworks, baseball games, flowers that bloom, sunsets, walking around with a glowing tan, summer fashions, and just hanging out with family and friends...

The first day of Summer is June 21st, but if it's OK with you, I think I'll go ahead and get a head start on this Beautiful Season that we all love.....

Oh BTW.....I'm late posting today because  "Lola and Rose" had an 8:15 appointment!

  1. Happy summer, Shug!!!! To me, it is summer when it's 100 degrees, like today, yikes! Our granddaughter says the first day of summer is really the last day of school. So let's throw out the calendar, it is too technical. Because we both know it is really already summer!!

  3. Hi Shug, it's been feeling like summer here the last few days with the temps in the high 90's. I love summer but I could use cooler temps and less humidity. Love the flowers, bbqs, fishing, iced tea, sitting on the patio with a cool breeze watching the fireflies, I could go on and on. I used to love the water but since I developed an inner ear problem, the water and I don't jive anymore. Bummer. Can't even ride in boats for getting sick. Major bummer. Oh well, there's plenty of other fun summer stuff to do. Hope you have a wonderful, fun-filled summer!

My list would be exactly the same as yours. You just can't beat summer! May this new season bring you and your loved ones much joy. From your Aussie friend, Kerrie. xOx
