Failure or Success

I Love to Blog....    Blogging gives me a SPARK!

My main focus when I post each day is to Inspire others....To encourage others....To perhaps give someone the confidence they might need to press on.

This is just how I am.....It makes me feel good...

I live my life trying to motivate those around me!

The other day, I was reminded of a story about

a friend that I have known a very long time.....

As a child growing up, this friend had very little in life.
He had family, but not much more than that...He barely had clothes to wear and his shoes were not anything to be desired.....

This was a very difficult life, and as a child, what else can you do but to make the most of what you have....

Encouragement was what he needed, but instead he was ridiculed and put down....One year, he was placed in a particular teachers class who was not at all impressed with having a poor child in her class to teach.

This certain individual was wealthy, but instead of reaching out to a child with a need, she spent her time criticizing him....She called him names and told him that he would never amount to anything in life......
(Sad....I know)

This teacher had no idea how deeply her discouraging words would sink into the heart of this precious young boy.  And, little did she know that it was those hurtful words that she persistently used that would cause this young child to determine in his mind that he WOULD BE SOMETHING SOMEDAY......

My friend chose that road to success and is now a "MILLIONAIRE!"

Sometimes in life, we have to shield ourselves from the critical words that others might say to us....But the good news is that these people do not control our future!  Our Heavenly Father directs our paths and He longs to Bless each of us....We only need to put our trust in HIM....

I will never forget this....and maybe, just maybe this is the reason that I have determined in my heart to speak Blessings upon people and to try to inspire all those around me......

I pray that Blessings will fall upon each of you today!

  3. Yes, Shug! We don't have to let criticisms and a bad past hold us down, but some encouragement sure is a good thing!!! We ALL need encouragement, we would be shocked to see the secret burdens that some people carry, and we never know about it.

  5. Well, in a weird way the teacher's put-down of him had the opposite effect! But I know that most people would become beat down over time and stop trying. We should always smile and give encouragement to others--you never know how that could change the course of someone's life.

  6. G'day Shug!... You inspire and encourage me everyday! I couldn't help but cry when reading about how cruel this teacher was. There is no gain from the pain they inflict. My son Jaiden is in Year Three, and his teacher has even said to the students, "I don't care if anyone thinks I'm a bully." That was just last week, then she had a girl stand up in class while she questioned her in front of everyone... "What part of quiet, don't you understand?"
This makes me furious. If you have some advise on how to handle this, I'd appreciate it. Normally I'd just jump right in and say what I think, but this time I'm praying to God for His help... should I report this, or not? As you said, Praise God that He directs our path! Praise God, you are such a kind-loving friend who deeply cares for others. Your love reaches the depths of my soul, and I am greatly blessed. Wishing you a day filled with God's goodness! With love and care from Kerrie. xOx Mega Hugs!

  7. You speak so wisely. As a teacher, the main thing that I wanted my kids to know was that I believed in them. To this day, I wonder about them and love it when I hear from them.

I keep telling you, you need to write a book of inspirations. BEST SELLERS LIST...I just know it.

My sweet grandson is doing so well...graduated from high school last weekend..so handsome and our hearts are sooo proud of him. Seems to have got his feet on the ground, looking forward to starting collage. I know it didn't all "happen by itself" and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your loyal prayers.

  10. Hi Shug, I'm so glad to hear the little boy didn't let the teacher's cruelty get him down. Good for him! It's just beyond my comprehension how a teacher can talk this way to her students. And get away with it! Just thinking of how much harm she might have done to some of the more sensitive children just breaks my heart. She sounds just downright mean. Never could understand why some people want to be that way. Thanks for this uplifting post!
