The Big Fight

What are those old sayings?  Something like......"My husband is in the building business, but our home addition is not finished yet!"  or  "My husband is in the plumbing business, but my shower is still dripping!"

I think you are beginning to get my point here...

Well.....My sweet husband is in the Nursery Business......

Which requires a lot of IRRIGATION.....

Which means the last thing he wants to do when he gets home is to work on my "Old fashioned Sprinkler System"

My system is the one in the bottom left hand corner of the above picture.....NO, I don't have those little pop- up sprinklers that run during the night when one is soundly sleeping.

So.....this brings me to the big fight!!

Don't get me wrong....Sam and I did not have a big fight...(We have outgrown these kind of things.....so NO fights here)

The fight was with ME, the SPRINKLERS and the WATER HOSE.....

I was trying to make sure that all my new flowers  had plenty of water, when the water hose decided to pop off of the sprinkler.....My first thought was "What in the world!".....Little did I know that my sweet husband had cut the hose and rigged it with some kind of wire and screw to connect it to that part of the hose that attaches to the facet!

I suppose this next part was my fault because I attempted to put it back together with the water still turned on....But hey, I had the hose squeezed!

You can only imagine what happened next!
I suddenly was drenched with COLD water....

I sure wish I had a picture to show you. Of course, my camera would be ruined by now...

This was not the end......Just as I completed my task at hand, and had turned to walk away....the sprinkler turned over and guess which way it was pointing?  AT ME!
As I turned around, the middle part of the sprinkler shot water directly at my face!

You all know that I can't swim....but at this point, my arms were moving and my legs were kicking...If the water had been deep, I think I could have learned to swim.....

Today.....I am going to purchase a brand new WATER HOSE and Sam is forbidden to touch it....

Hope you all have a Blessed Day!

Shug sez:  I think I see a sprinkler system coming my way in the near future!!

Hugs,

Shug ~

  1. Hi Shug!

What a picture you just painted in my brain . . . heheheheeh! I can just see you having a fight with the hose! I can truly understand your delima, because my husband is a pipefitter, and I have a downstairs bathroom that is just waiting to have the toilet and the sink installed to be finished! Sometimes us girls have to take things into our own hands and just handle it, don't we?! Good luck with the sprinkler system... :0)

  2. Oh gosh! I hope it was a real hot day and you at least got cooled off! But my question is why did he rig the hose that way?? I love your collage, especially the bottom right picture all in blue.
