Mylee and I sang this little song all day yesterday..
I suppose the reason for all our singing was because we could actually hear the hippity hop of Peter Cotton Tail as he made his way past our house.....
Is this not the cutest picture? I apologize for the quality of the pictures...I had to scan the pictures and then post them...
All Mylee could talk about before we got to the school to take the pictures was that she wanted Mr. Bunny to bring her some bubbles!!
What kid doesn't want bubbles????
Look at these two! My precious friend Mary Alice and I were a little scared of the bunny too! lol
She and I graduated from high school together....We have been wonderful friends forever!..........
Shanda and Mary Alice teach together at the elementary.....The two of them were in charge of the picture taking......This was a fundraiser for the school!
Wow....the wind was blowing!!!!
Look at my hair and look at the hair on the bunny's face!!
Trey loved the bunny as well......
The Hippity Hoppity Bunny went back to his little bunny hole...but he will be back again!!!
How do we teach our children and grandchildren about the real meaning of EASTER?
Children love bunnies, chocolate, hiding eggs, baby chicks and of course their Easter basket and in my opinion, these things are ok.....AS LONG AS WE TEACH THEM ABOUT THE "REAL" MEANING OF EASTER.
"THE CRUCIFIXION AND THE RESURRECTION"
Betrayal.......Jesus was Betrayed
Arrested.......Jesus was Arrested
Beaten and Bruised.......Jesus was Beaten and Bruised
Died on the Cross......Jesus died on the Cross
He is RISEN....JESUS IN ALIVE!
AND BECAUSE "HE" IS ALIVE, WE HAVE HOPE, WE HAVE LOVE, WE HAVE FAITH, WE HAVE LIFE, AND BY LIVING AS CHRISTIANS AND GIVING OUR ALL TO GOD, WE HAVE THE PROMISE OF ETERNITY"
It is up to us as parents and grandparents to teach these young children......
The Real Meaning of Easter.....
Hugs and Blessings,
Shug
Dear Shug,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family images! Thank you for sharing.
I have a great 'recipe' to teach children about Easter. I shall post the 'recipe' tomorrow. Be on the lookout.
May you and your loved ones be blessed this Easter weekend! May Christ’s message of eternal life fill you with love.

I have a big grin all over my face, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! The pictures are wonderful, and what a great idea for a fundraiser, who would not want to buy scads of them!! The windy one is very cool. And I love the first one that you are in, you are joyful and adorable!!! YES, kids should not associate Easter with only eggs and rabbits, they take the real meaning away.
ReplyDeleteYes,I agree, the Bunnies and chocolate are OK,but we need to tea the real meaning of Easter.Cute pictures.
ReplyDeleteHi Shug, Love all of your pictures. You and Mary Alice look like you both were having a great time.
ReplyDeleteI grew up with bunnies and eggs and candy ---but I STILL learned about the true meaning of Easter. I think kids can learn and still have fun with the secular things.
Hugs,
Betsy
