O What A Day!

Hey There.....Thanks for stopping by.  I have much to chatter about today.

Yesterday was one of those days!  From the time I got up until the time I went to bed with snuggles (my pillow) my feet were constantly moving and my brain was clicking like never before.....I was as busy as a Bee.

Don't you just love to plan out your day?  I certainly do. The very evening before, I had written down all the things that I wanted to get accomplished yesterday.  Did I get any of it done?  NO WAY!

All of the kids dropped by for breakfast, just as they always do each morning.  I can usually count on them being gone by 7:40 at the latest.  I had an appointment for Bella to go to the Dogie Salon at 8:00 and then I was going to head back home to start working on taxes........DIDN"T HAPPEN!

Just as I got home, my phone rang and my niece was sick....I hurriedly got dressed and drove her in to town to the Doctor's office.....Got back home, fixed lunch for Sam and Mylee, cleaned the kitchen and it was almost time to go back and get Bella.

I had a quick thought.   (It is not good to have quick thoughts)  I would put some fresh pintos in a pot and have them ready for me to cook as soon as I got back from picking up Bella....
What was I thinking?????

My phone rang and sometime during the process of getting the pot of beans ready and answering the phone, I reached over and turned the cotton picking stove ON!
Did I know that I had done this?  NO...I didn't!

Needless to say, the smell of Fresh Pintos is not what I came home to.....OH NO....My kitchen smelled like burned Cabbage!  (I don't really know what burned cabbage smells like, but I do know what the smell of cooked cabbage smells like, and it is pretty bad)  When Carson came home from school, he said:  "Shug, I smell something in the house."  I didn't utter a word about what I had done.  I just told him it was SCHOOL smell and they were all bringing it into my house!  funny thing, He believed me...

This isn't the End of The Story!

I get everything cleaned up and somehow was able to get the odor to be tolerable.  Mylee and I nearly froze to death in the mean time.  I then decided that I needed to get my hair washed because I needed to be able to leave at four in order for me to make it to Tyler's basketball game.. I hop in the shower, shampoo my hair, (Phone is ringing), hop out of the shower, answer the phone  (stinking telemarketer), hop back in the shower and rinse my hair out.

It's now time  to blow dry the hair......Blow dry, Blow dry, Blow dry.....and my hair looks horrible.
I'm thinking "What In The World."  My first thoughts were, "OMG I must not have washed the conditioner out very good"  but.....that was not the problem.   I look at the bottle of shampoo, and I could not believe what I saw!  Because I was running around like a chicken (Yes, with it's head cut off) I picked up a large container of body lotion instead of my shampoo.   Duh....this is why my hair would not blow dry!  You think?

Back into the shower I go.....The right Shampoo in Hand!  I get it right this time....
Ok...all is well for now.

I get dressed for the game only to realize as I start to walk out the door, that my shirt was wrong side outwards...What if I had not noticed that one single little white tag on the side of my hip?  I would have worn the thing to the game.
I wanted to throw my hands up in the air and start the day over....

Oh What a day!

Shug Sez.....

Did I mention that I stepped in Dog Poop?
