Happy Camper

It's a nice fresh morning outside and I am hoping to get a lot of things accomplished today.

At the beginning of the summer, I told Sam that I had a couple of things that I felt needed to be done before winter.  Well, summer is almost over and would you believe that I am still waiting.

He has been super busy, but today is going to be his day for a bit of  "HONEY -DO WORK."  These are not major things that have to be done, but just simple little jobs around the flower beds and the outside of the house that need our attention...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the wait will be over TODAY!

Yesterday was grandparents day at Tori's school.  I think this is a great idea for two reasons.  First of all, you would be surprised how important it is to these precious children to bring their grandparents to meet their teacher and their friends.  It makes them feel super important and proud.

Second of all, it gives us grandparents an opportunity to not only be involved in our grandchildren's lives, but we get to see where our little darlings are spending seven hours of their day.   A lot of times, this is the only chance that we get to really see the conditions of the schools and any needs that might to be taken care of.  I know that I certainly want to see our kids have what they need in regards to their education.  That includes space in order to prevent being overcrowded.

As you can see, Tori and Mylee were enjoying the breakfast brunch. They didn't really want to take a break from their eating for me to take a picture.  That is the reason you don't see any smiles on their faces..... Donuts, muffins, fruit, orange juice and (coffee) for the adults.  This was a big treat for all the kids and a great way to start their day.

I am proud of our schools.  I am also very impressed with the staff and volunteers that did an outstanding job of making us grandparents feel welcomed. Kudos to them all!

Well, it's now time to see what the day holds.  Is Shug going to be one "happy camper" or will Sam?  This is a question that you'll want to follow up on!  Have a terrific Saturday!

Shug.................

This is the day that the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it!
