Try It Thursday

Good Afternoon on this Beautiful Thursday!

My “Try It Thursday” is all about jars, napkins, mod podge, chalk paint, and a few flowers.

Take a regular… quart size jar and paint the outside with white or off white chalk paint.  Let it dry for about an hour.

                        Chalk paint.....

I then rolled my jar onto the paper napkin for measurement. I trimmed the bottom and the top to be about 1 inch past the jar.
With Mod Podge, I took a brush and painted a 2 inch strip down the jar, rolled the napkin over the MP.  I continued doing this until the jar was completely covered.
Next I folded in the top as I added the Mod Podge
Same for the bottom of the jar.

I allowed this to dry for about an hour and then completely covered the jar on the paper napkin with Mod Podge.  I had to let this dry for about 3 hours.

Wa La....I added the flowers and tied an rope string around the top of the jar.

"Home Goods" has a huge selection of beautiful paper napkins!

Just something simple, but I had a great time making this cute jar.

  2. Oh that is adorable. Because I am artistic, and watercolor...people think I can craft too. I cannot not, I cannot cut, paste, etc....but I love what others can do. You'd think I could use a paint brush other than watercolor...but its not in my DNA. So I'll enjoy yours.
    Have a Blessed Easter Weekend.
