Good Friday reminds us that even in the darkest hour, goodness was not defeated. Good Friday is a day that is marked by sacrifice, and a Promise fulfilled.
Though sorrowful in it's story, it is good because it reveals the depth of God's grace and the lengths He would go to rescue us. In the shadow of the cross, we see the light of hope shining for ALL mankind. Good Friday is good because it was never the END......It was the beginning of Redemption.

Cute and sweet!
My oldest daughter is a High School Counselor. At the school they have a floral design class. The class delivered this little arrangement to Trista yesterday.
Since she is going out of town, she brought it to me to enjoy!

Love my gift from Trista...

What a sweet gift from your daughter and the flower arrangement is so pretty. I've never heard of a school having a floral design class. I would have taken that class for sure.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a sweetie - of course your daughters would surprise you with little unexpected gifts of love. Beautiful words you said, depicting Good Friday. Yes, it wasn’t the end but the beginning of redemption!
ReplyDeleteThe Holy Spirit keeps nudging me to keep praying for you and your family. I hope you have a glorious Resurrection Sunday.
Love this... Yes, we thank the Lord for Good Friday. Without Good Friday there would be no Easter, and we'd still be lost in our sins with NO hope! Hallelujah for the cross!

Happy Good Friday, and yes, it is a day of rejoicing even though on that day, it was great sorrow to those who were present. How thankful I am that we know the rest of the story! The flower arrangement is beautiful, how sweet of your daughter's students to make it for her! Have a blessed and special Easter!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your family will have a blessed Good Friday. We can rejoice because we know what is coming. What a sweet sentiment from your 'sweet' daughter. HUGS.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful arrangement, and how blessed are you that your daughter thought to share.
ReplyDeleteSuch a stunning header image; I'd not seen this one before.
ReplyDeleteHow proud you must be of Trista, that her students thought so highly of her ... and then(!) how she wanted to share her joy. Doubly blessed!
I hope you had a wonderful day.

Good Friday is good because of what Jesus was willing to go through in order to bring us back into right relationship with His Father, Shug, I agree. Such beautiful "just because" gifts, too. Have a blessed Easter!
