Aprons and Jonquils.......

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever."
                                             Psalm  118:29

Look what I found.....this morning, I walked outside and the very first thing I saw was this brilliant jonquil!  It is no longer held captive to the silence of winter.....It's beauty sings of Hope for the soon coming Spring.

I am giving thanks.....to the Lord

For the small stuff in life that brings me
joy!

*******

speaking of joy.....I was thrilled this past week to
receive a very special gift in the mail....

Just a few weeks ago, I signed up to join Sue
over at countrypleasures.blogspot.com
for a Valentine Apron Swap.

I simply could not have had a more precious lady to be my partner.....Thank you Cheryl Larson!!

Cheryl is one talented lady.....my apron was gorgeous and her talents in sewing reached far above my expectations.  She is definitely a great seamstress.

But, her talents do not stop there.....Let me just show you!!

Cheryl is also a gifted card maker.

My package was filled with all kinds of cute items, and I am very thankful for each one.  Most of all, I am so proud to have been able to connect with Cheryl and to be able to call her my new friend!
Hugs Cheryl!

One last picture for you all to see......I love this picture and I love this guy!!!

He is the BEST.....

My deepest appreciation to all of you for stopping by to visit me today...
Blessings to all of you!!

One More Makes One Hundred and Fifty......

                                            ?????  Who will it be??

Ok....I will admit that it has taken me a very long time to get to this point......the number of followers that I have is now 149.....this means only one more and I will have reached my first mile stone!!  (can't wait to reach that 500 follower mark)

Who is this number going to belong to??
I don't know either.....but before the weeks end, I would love to have that 150 spot filled with a brand new friend....

What better time to have a give away......

This is how it works.......a $10.00 Starbucks gift card will be given to the person who becomes my 150th follower.....

BUT WAIT.....

I also have another $10.00 starbucks gift card for one of you......Here is what you must do!

1.  leave me a comment to let me know that you are already a follower.
2.  Invite your friends to drop by to visit me at my blog.
Not only will their name go into the drawing pot, but if they will let me know that YOU sent them, your name will go in the pot again.....The more people that you send my way, the more times you can enter!  If you are not a follower and it's your first time to visit, please leave me your email address as well, so I can contact you if you happen to be the winner.

3.  Visit me each day this week and leave a comment for that particular days post and your name will be entered again...

Pretty EASY isn't it?

Of course, we all know that as soon as a name appears in that 150 follower spot....that card will be taken...

I will let the entries for card #2 to go through Monday, February 13th!  I'll announce the winner on the morning of Tuesday, February 14th...

Can you smell the coffee yet??

Hugs to you all and many thanks to each of you.

It's All About Writing....

February 5th.... Oh my goodness!  Looks like we certainly do have a head start on this short month that is filled with "LOVE"

I believe that even though we live in such a tech savvy world, the month of February brings out the creative desires that many people have when it comes to writing.  Love letters, being the most important reason to pull out those almost forgotten pens and pencils.

After all, you don't really have to be a novelist to write a love letter.  You just simply share what is in your heart by writing words that you long to say.....

Writing is considered to be a "Warm" way of expressing ourselves.  As a matter of fact, writing can become very soothing and relaxing, if only we will allow ourselves the time to think deeply.

I have found that whenever I express myself through writing, I am able to reveal more about myself and the things that I truly feel.   It really does force me to think deeply and I have found that I choose my words much more carefully.

We all have life stories that need to be shared with our children and grandchildren for years to come....By writing in a journal, we can capture these stories in detail and perhaps a little wisdom can be learned to those that choose to read them.

Writing has been great for me!  I am challenged to think deeper.......

Nothing Fancy...Nothing Expensive

Hey Y'all......It's Friday!  This is exciting news for me!
Nothing special about the day, I just love Fridays.

So.....I've been shopping for C-H-A-I-R-S......

Nothing fancy....nothing expensive....

Just a chair that is comfortable and cheap!!!

Chair #1

Take this chair for example....I like the look, but it's just
OK comfortable!

Chair #2

Love, love, love the colors of this chair!
Another big plus for this one is that it does not
have the arm rest.  One might think this would make the chair a little less comfy, but this is exactly what I need for the space that I have planned.

Chair #3

I've been looking at this chair for a very long time now.
I immediately was drawn to this chair for some reason.
I think it might be the material or perhaps the flowers.  Now that I have seen the other two chairs, I have second thoughts about this one.

All three of the chairs are very reasonably priced, so if a decision can't be reached soon, I just might have to get all three!!    NO NOT REALLY....... All three chairs are on display at Pier 1, which just so happens to be one of my (MOST) favorite stores.

Many of us have certain places in our home that could use another chair. My area is just to the side of a set of french doors.  I could use another seat for when I have extra company that stops by, or when all of the family gets together here.

I'll love to have a vote from all of you.  Keep in mind that all three would coordinate well with my existing furniture.  Just tell me your favorite......#1....#2.....or #3.

Rising early to meet with the Lord, gives us a Jump on the day!!

Bless you all!

Are You Drooping??

Good Morning.....Ooops....It's not morning is it?  Good Afternoon friends!!

Where did the morning go?  Or should I say, where has the week gone?  I have been one BUSY person, this is for sure!!

About the picture above....I just loved seeing this old shed with piles of old junk just sitting around everywhere.

The porch is kinda drooping because of it's heavy load. Isn't this the way life is sometimes?  We start to droop ---oh yes, how  we droop :)and moan and groan, because we carry around such heavy loads of all kinds of things....Worry, stress, and yes...allowing ourselves to be TOO busy.  Of course the age thing should be counted in there as well.

I certainly do not need any more droopiness in my life (of any kind), so I had better learn to slow down and stop this fast paced life that I am engaging in.

Ooops...again! I'll be back in 20 minutes...

I'm Back....
You will not believe what I just did...I was sitting here, working on this post, when suddenly I remembered that I was suppose to pick up the kids from school...I had to stop and make a B-line to the intermediate school, where I found (3) little darlings, waiting patiently for their SHUG.

Oh My...I've got to get with it!
I have so many different things to post about, but in order for me to do so, I've got to give myself some time.

Well....this is it for me today..Hope to see ya tomorrow!

Whatever this evening may bring, be thankful!!

As Always, Big Hugs.
