Our Test of Faithfulness

A Faithful person  is one that truly believes that GOD is in control of all our circumstances.  It is so easy to say we have Faith but yet sometimes we don't really and truly believe what we say.

We are full of Faith when we see the positive in our circumstances, but the very minute that situations suddenly start to fall apart, are minds are set on disbelief or the Faith we thought we had becomes transparent.

Most of the time in these less fortunate events we never take the time to see what God may be trying to accomplish in our lives.  We do not want to be TESTED.  The truth is, our faithfulness to God is tested every day.  The world is very impatient and we act as if God is like a touch machine.  We touch a button and expect him to pour out his Blessings...If we don't like that particular Blessing or if it is not as big as what we anticipated, then we simply want to touch a different button to get something better.

An example of this would be in healing.  I know that when my mother first became sick, I prayed that God would just give us an answer as to why she was in so much pain.  I had Faith that God heard my prayers and that mother would have surgery and life would go back like it was, she would feel great.  Then when the answer came that she had Multiple-Myeloma (Cancer), my Faith failed.  I was scared for her and I wanted to touch a different button that would assure me that God would TOTALLY heal her. God had other plans, but that does not mean that my faith should have wavered.  Our Faith does not say that what WE want is what is going to happen.

The goal of faithfulness should be to let God freely do His work through us.   If we have a sick child, if we have lost our job, if we need a touch in our own body, if we have loved ones that are not saved.....We are to Trust God! We are to have confidence that God is in control and by doing this our Faith becomes stronger.
Have Faith and Believe God for His WILL!

"We know that all things work together for good to those who love God...."   (Romans 8:28)

Beast and Beauty

Do you see it?......Can you taste it or even smell it?

Yellow Stuff is everywhere!!!

I walked out onto the back porch this morning and could not believe how everything was covered with a tint of yellow.  Tables that I had just cleaned yesterday afternoon looked as if they had not been wiped down in weeks.  Take a look at Sams Cajun Fryer......
It was covered in so much pollen that the kids could even do an art project on it!

This is what we are breathing.  Not suprising that so many people are sick with allergies.  Our lungs are probably screaming to  breath.  I'm sure the pharmacy's are packed with customers begging for some relief.

Pollen is actually the fertilizing element of flowering plants and trees.  It consist of a fine yellow powder of grains and spores.  This is exactly what we are seeing..

I went to the car wash yesterday just to check and see if our truck was still black.  Wasn't sure, because it looked as if I were driving around in a new Yellow truck.  There were several other people pulling up to check out the color of their vehicles.  Almost looked like a sea of yellow.

This is just part of nature and it happens every year.  I look though and see the beauty that comes from all of this pollen.
Beautiful Red Bud Tree
If we can just tolerate the yellow dust for a short while longer, then we will be able to enjoy all the beauty.
In the meantime it is best to stay inside and keep the tissues near by.  Spring is Here!

Endless Wonders

All who seek the Lord will PRAISE HIM...Their hearts will rejoice with Everlasting Joy.
Psalms:  22:26

Joy...is such a small word, but it's meaning is so important and it is something we all seek every single day.  It is a feeling of great delight or happiness.

Our hearts were made for JOYGOD sets our hearts alight with radiant joy and it pleases HIM when we allow HIS work to done in us.

We are not only to seek JOY for ourselves, we are to seek joy for others as well.  We are to rejoice in the Blessings, the accomplishments, and the happiness that fills their lives.

If we are Truthfully joyful, it can only mean that we are faithfully living for GOD!  The secret to having joy is allowing our hearts to be open and find the good in all things.  This is the way it is intended to be.

As we grow in our capacities to see and enjoy the happiness that GOD has placed in our lives, Life  will become a glorious experience of discovering HIS Endless Wonders.....

Thank you Lord for the Joy that fills my heart today!

How Great Thou Art

O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How Great Thou art, How Great Thou art,
The sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How Great Thou Art, How Great Thou art,

When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur,
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God to Thee,
How Great Thou art, How Great Thou art,
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How Great Thou art, How Great Thou art,

And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in.
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He Bled and died to take away my sin.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to thee,
How Great Thou art, How Great Thou art,
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to thee,
How Great Thou art, How Great Thou art,

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim, "My God How Great Thou Art!"

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to thee,
How Great Thou art, How Great thou art,
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to thee,
How Great Thou art, How Great thou art!

Can't do without it!

What would we do without our cell phones?  It is very hard to believe that just a few years ago, very few people had cell phones. I can not even begin to imagine what it would be like not to have one now.

I was thinking about it just this afternoon..The reason was because I went to Tyler and accidently left mine at home.  I am so use to having it and I actually think not having it was worse than not having my purse.....It amazes me how many times that Sam and I communicate by phone while we are in town.  He might let me out at one place while he runs an errand somewhere else and we stay in contact by texting to let each other know if we are finished.  Having my phone by my side is like another piece of clothing...You feel naked if it is not there.

I really am not a big fan of texting...It's not so bad if occasionaly you have to text someone, but when it becomes a conversation of texting back and forth, this really is annoying to me.  I'm like, just pick up the dat gum phone and call me....I actually think this is the reason my wrist and arm hurts.  Guess It wouldn't hurt if I left it at home more often.  At least my wrist would have a chance to heal and I would be able to sleep at night...I'm not planning on getting rid of my phone, but a good thought would be to get a ear phone and forget about texting....

Maybe the Easter Bunny will leave me one this weekend.....

Kid at heart

Today was the first of  many egg hunts we will have this coming weekend at our house.  Trey's first grade class was the first to come and then Carson's class came to hunt.  They could only find the eggs with their name on it.
This made the hunt last a lot longer and the kids had to put a little more effort into hunting.

I like egg hunts!  Never does an Easter pass by that I don't remember hunting eggs as a child.  One particular EGG HUNT stands out to me more than the others.  I think I was probably around eight or nine years old and my brother was about six.  Our neighborhood always had this huge egg hunt for all the kids and it was something we looked for to all year long.  There were prizes for the one that found the most eggs and a prize for the one that found the golden egg.

My brother and I had already decided that if we would combine our eggs close to the end of the egg hunt, we would have a better chance of getting the big prize.  Since I was the oldest, I am pretty sure that it must have been my idea.
Sometime during the egg hunt, that is exactly what we did.  I gave most of my eggs to him and it ended up that he was the big winner.  What we forgot to realize was that their would only be ONE prize and how were we going to split it between the two of us.  Sure enough, there was only one prize.  A big stuffed blue bear!

We ended up having such a huge fuss over the bear, so mother took it away from both of us.  (Of course, she did not know that we cheated)  I guess that when it comes right down to it......It just doesn't pay to Cheat!!!

I am still at kid at heart and I know that if they would just invite me, I would be out there trying as hard as I could to find the big prize egg this weekend.    I try to make our family hunt special for all the kids (even the grown ones) because I want them to always remember the fun that they had hunting eggs at Pops and Shugs!!!
(Can't wait to blog about the family egg hunt....check it out and see what it is we do)
