Christmas Tour of Homes....2014..

I filled my birdcage with gorgeous beaded Christmas balls....I sat this on a table near the entry way!

Our Dining table....I used various sized crocheted doilies as a table cloth.  I then added the extra little touches to make this table complete.

I must admit...I have a new found love for Mason Jars... and, Candy at Christmas....who can beat it?

You can see the artist name in the right hand...bottom corner!  Tyler did a great job with his "Sugar got ran over by a Reindeer" scene.

One of my favs!!  I took old buckets and wrapped them with a grapevine wreath.  I then added lights and a few ornaments!!

a family tradition.....When I was growing up...my mother ALWAYS made a gumdrop tree!!  This is a precious memory of mine...and I have since added the making of a gumdrop tree to my family...

More gumdrops and candy canes!!

I knew that I wanted my chalkboard to be a center point in my kitchen...But, what could I do to make it stand out...

I decided to draw something myself...and I really thought it turned out great..

I made it Through!!

Oh Y'all......I made it through the "TOUR."   Everything was beautiful and I had the BEST help ever!  

Sam dressed up in a Santa suit and handed out candy canes...

Mylee Jo....wore her Baker's outfit and gave cookies to each of our visitors!!

ME?.....my foot was a tad bit angry.  I remember looking at the clock at one point, thinking that it surely was 9:00.  Nope...it was only 7:15 and my precious foot was already screaming at me.

Tyler kept the fire pit going, in the backyard...and all of my helpers inside were just absolutely wonderful!!  They greeted all of our visitors, with happy smiles and welcomed them in.

I took lots of photos and can not wait to invite you all in to see the results.   I have some editing to do on the pictures and for this reason, it will probably be later this week...

I will tell you....my gumdrop tree was a huge favorite for everyone...

Mean while....my dad is STILL in the hospital and I STILL do not have my Christmas shopping done!!

I't's Pouring.....

What is that they say?  Something like....."When it rains, it pours."

I've been hobbling around here for days...trying to get our home ready for the "Tour" this weekend!  {cleaning is the only thing left to do}

My foot is really NOT acting very nice!  I have been icing it and taking the ibuprofen like I'm suppose to be doing...but I guess it needs more rest!!

This is really not what I need at this time......to have a foot that is not working well.   But.....I'm just gonna do my best to get through this.    I've decided to make another call to the Doctor tomorrow, to see if I can go ahead and get the injection!!!!  ouch!

Another thing that I didn't need right now was......Having to put my dad in the Hospital.   The past few weeks, have been difficult for him, which is the reason that his doctor decided to admit him to the hospital and try to figure out which meds are working and which ones we need to do away with.  

As difficult as the added stress is for me......I know that it is super hard for my dad.   He really gets upset with change and new surroundings.   

As I went on Facebook just a bit ago....I saw where my sweet Sam had posted the below list of "You Say" "God Say's" and the scriptures to go along with what God is saying!

God's word says that HE will direct my steps, Give me rest, Love me, Forgive me, Give me wisdom, Supply my needs, and  HE will Never leave me!!

God does not give me a spirit of fear!!  I can Trust God to help me even when the rain pours!!

You Might Could Say.....

Good News.....

You might could say that I'm an instant Millionaire!!

Well....Maybe not....but if I were to get a $1.00 for every fallen leaf that has landed in our yard..then YES, I would be a Millionaire!

Who knew that a big ol' oak tree and a huge Pecan tree could have so many leaves?  Not to mention all of the other trees in our yard.

Just so happens that this past weekend was a super WINDY weekend, and wouldn't you know it, all of the leaves in our general area....ended up in my yard!!!

How could that be?  I guess the leaves are just drawn to places where they are appreciated!!  lol.

I can tell you....I am so thankful for the big ol' trees that provide a lot of shade, during the hot Summer...

These few leaves are still clinging!!  It won't be long until they too, are added to my collection!!
