The past four days have felt like someone hit the fast-forward button on my life. π
Thursday started bright and early with multiple test and scans at the hospital for Sam. This turned into an all-day event. By the time I got home, I felt like I deserved a trophy, a nap, and a cheeseburger.
Friday rolled around with an oncologist appointment followed by running errands for Mylee’s graduation party.
Saturday? Whew. Full speed ahead getting everything ready for graduation festivities. Clothes laid out, enjoying family from out of town, and tending to the little details that somehow multiply overnight. It was one of those beautiful, busy days where when you finally get home, you collapse into bed wondering if your feet are still attached to your body.
And today?
Church online, stretchy pants, and REST. Amen and hallelujah. π
It has been a beautiful weekend filled with family, celebration, and memories in the making… but mercy, this Shug needs a recharge button and about three naps. ☀️π
Honestly....I may be tired, but right now, it's the busyness of the days that are helping me. No real complaints coming from having an over stimulated weekend...I wouldn't change one thing about it....
See y'all tomorrow...
Shug...πͺ«

Amen and halleluhah
ReplyDeleteAnother magnificent header, Shug! I love how your family celebrates and holds each other close. Mylee's smile just lights up a room, doesn't she?
ReplyDeleteBold prayers lifting for the both of you!
Praying for the chemo pill to be approved sooner, not later and that Sam will begin gaining the weight he needs to fight. God bless him and you.
ReplyDeleteMylee graduated! May she have many wonderful years ahead of her. I am lovin' all the purple in her graduation theme with the polka dot balloons and festive decorations. This is a great family photo, Shug. You had a busy weekend, and I'm sure you are tired. Mylee looks so pretty crossing that stage with her diploma. What a fun celebration, and a day for all of you to remember.
ReplyDelete**I wanted to mention how very sorry I am for Sam's latest health report. I am thinking of both of you at this time, and saying prayers.
Delete"I may be tired, but right now, it's the busyness of the days that are helping me." Maybe a little less business, but some of it for such a loving cause is probably a blessing. I'm still praying for you and Sam, and congratulations, Mylee. Love always. ❤️
ReplyDeleteHang in there dear Shug. You have a lot on your plate right now and you are right - self-care is of the utmost importance! I pray your husband's tumors will shrink overnight! God's blessings to you all.
ReplyDeleteShug, I hope you are truly getting some downtime and taking care of yourself. I'm sorry to hear about Sam. I will continue to pray for his complete healing. I know this is so stressful and then there is life that still goes on around you and we don't want to miss it. I hope you can find some time to just sit and relax when you need it. Hugs to you my friend :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you certainly have been busy. But such good things with Mylee's graduation fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to read of the reports on Sam. Prayers continue on that front!
What a weekend! Congrats to Mylee! I hope you have had some time to relax!
ReplyDeleteAt least the majority of the business was happy busy. Congratulations to Mylee. The decorations look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHope all went well with Sam
Well done for getting through it! Between healthcare and grads, you sure did well.
ReplyDeleteBusy doesn't even begin to describe your weekend and the week prior to it, Shug. Wow! I love the new photos and header you've displayed here, too. Mylee is one lovely young lady and I know you are all so proud of her. Prayers continue for Sam!
ReplyDeleteI honestly do not think I could keep up with you Shug. I love your new header. Congrats to Mylee on her graduation - I saw it on Facebook. She is beautiful. Still praying for Sam.
