A Mother's Day to Remember

I am hoping that everyone enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day this past weekend.  It was Sam's full intent to make sure that my Mother's Day was the BEST, and he succeeded  with all of his heart....With the help of the girls...everything was great.

He gave me a beautiful card with a very sweet message, and he also purchased me a new Chair.  It will be here (hopefully) tomorrow.  He also arranged for our family to enjoy a Sunday morning Brunch at a very nice place near by...

Lago Del Pino....our table overlooked the gorgeous lake tucked behind the restaurant.  One thing that made the morning special was watching the sunlight as it danced across the water.   It's shimmering sparkles  made the whole scene feel so peaceful and so very pleasant.  Definitely a view that excited us all...

Two of our granddaughter's (Tori and Mylee) were able to be there and joining them was Trista, Shanda and our son-in-law, Tom.  And of course....Sam and I.
They gifted me with flowers and a sweet card that  held a gift certificate to one of my favorite shops.  Blessed?  I am very Blessed with a family who loves me dearly.

Flowers and more flowers.....

After our wonderful meal, the girls and I went into town to enjoy Pedicures and manicures....

So relaxing!!  I selected pink polish for both my toes and my nails..

And then.....it was off to the Mall.
We shopped for Wedding Shower dresses, Graduation dresses and SHOES!!

Now for the food......↓↓

Raspberry French Toast....

Jalapeno meat loaf with cream potatoes and veggies...

and I failed to get a picture of the Fried Cheesecake....

Sam and His girls...

"This is us"....minus Tom who was taking the picture...
We missed the other 13 family members who could not be there...
We will see them all in July..

I'll leave y'all today with this:

Shug....💛

  2. Wow! Despite feeling poorly, Sam really out-did himself, didn't he? Your choice of restaurants sounds perfect; I could sure go for a big old slab of jalapeno meatloaf.
Please don't fret about not posting so often; we know you're attending to much more important matters. xo

  5. What a wonderful Mother's Day. The food looks delicious, and the meat loaf! The view of the lake outside the restaurant is lovely. It looks like a nice sunny day. A sweet picture of Sam with the girls. I noticed that large pink rose in the bouquet, it's beautiful! I hope you share your new chair with us. It's always fun to get surprises coming our way. Jess' gifts will arrive tomorrow, and I can't wait. So dear of Sam to arrange the morning brunch. Yes, this is surely a Mother's Day to remember, Shug. And I hope someone bought that pink dress, it's so cute! ; )

  6. What a memorable and blessed Mother's Day you had, Shug! Sam is the ultimate trooper, making sure that your day is perfect even when he's not at the top of his game. Danny and I are both praying for him as is our church. Loved the photos, too, of your beautiful family together. Your loving hearts shine through! Blessings!

  7. I'm so glad that you had such a special Mother's Day, Shug. If anyone needed such a special day, it's you, my friend. Prayers continue. I hardly recognized Sam with him losing so much weight in such a short period of time. xx

  9. Years ago I had to do six months of chemo to treat breast cancer. One thing I did that I believe helped with the fatigue was daily juicing of raw veg/fruit. I got a juicer machine and did two glasses per day of carrot, cucumber, pineapple, orange, apple. The vitamins and antioxidants needed to help recovery are concentrated and I was able to consume more healthy raw veg/fruit that way.

  12. Sounds like a perfectly perfect Mother's day. The flowers are beautiful. My ex husband never got me anything for mother's day because he said I wasn't his mother.
