Jan 2nd...2026

Wanted to check with you all and see if any of you have recommendations for a good sight to have my blog made into books?  The last time I did this, I used Blogger, but they NO longer make the books.  I tried Pixie last year, but was not pleased.

I enjoy having a yearly book made because it captures life memories that I blog about, plus my kids love having everything in a book for them to read.

***********************************

Can you feel it?  A big deep breath after all of the celebrating?  All of our leftover's are gone!!  No more black eyed peas, cabbage or pork.  And now, life taps us on the shoulder and says, "Alright, friend...lets do this."  Lets get back to real life.

Jan 2nd is like a RE-ENTRY....easing back into everyday life with intention, but mostly done in a slow way.

Ordinary days are upon us.  I'm already hearing the laundry humming in the background, and my morning routine is back in rhythm.

It's kinds like SHOWING UP AGAIN, lol.  Exchanging the Pj's for real clothes and for now, I need a little elastic in the waistband.  I may have enjoyed a few extra desserts these past couple of weeks.

Even though it is Friday...the day we like to think of as the beginning of the weekend, we still have to open those planners, make grocery list, and move forward.  No perfect plan here....just a willing heart to follow the steps that the Lord has planned for me.

The celebrations may have quieted down and the calendar has turned, but I am walking into the days ahead with excitement.  I know that God is not asking me to see the whole path of what 2026 holds, He's only asking me to Trust Him.

It's back to routines, back to responsibilities, BUT...never back to doing life alone.   God's got this!!

Happy January 2nd

Shug..

  6. Shug, these words of yours, "easing back into everyday life with intention, but mostly done in a slow way." is exactly how I would describe our day today. I'm ready for "normal" again, but I'm easing into it. xx

  9. Is there even such a thing as a Perfect Plan? (Only in the movies, me thinks.) I believe God's got this, but allows us a sneak peek every now and then just to keep us on our toes. Easy does it!

  10. Yes, it does take some adjustment to get back to normal after all the holidays. I need a little extra room in the waist department after a little too much indulging too.

  11. I used Pixxie last year too, one book had to be redone and one the pages are falling out. Let me know if you find something good.
