Here we are ....the season where the weather can't make up its mind.....Our high yesterday was 82 degrees and last Tuesday the high was in the 30's.
My calendar looks like it has been attacked by caffeinated squirrels....and I've noticed that every store is selling candles that smell like "Harvest Moon Pumpkin Latte Cinnamon Forest." No Kidding!! And of course I have purchased one or two.
I could certainly do without the high temps, but as for as having a busy calendar and the smell of a Fall candle....I honestly love it!! 🍂. For me the chaos comes from not knowing what to wear each day...Summer clothes? Winter clothes? And, I'm guessing my closet tends to think we are in a whirlwind season.
This time of the year brings out a strange mix of feelings in all of us. One minute I'm sentimental and soaking up the sunsets, the next minute I'm aggressively fluffing throw pillows, the next hour or so, I might be planning my Christmas shopping. So many things to do!!
But, Oh...how the cozy chaos of the season keeps me busy...
It's the season where I sometimes burn that first batch of homemade cookies or misplace my favorite fall sweater... But here is the beautiful part, even in the chaos, I find joy. Even in the busy, there are Blessings. Even in the mess (like having pieces of glitter everywhere) there is meaning...
I do love the small gifts that the season brings....like a perfect cup of coffee or a warm slice of pumpkin bread, or a porch visit where you can spend time in conversation with a sweet friend. My SIL stopped by yesterday and we sat and visited for over an hour. Each of these cozy surprises makes the season so full ...so fun...so wonderful for me.
I LOVE THIS SEASON THAT IS SO FULL OF COZY CHAOS...And before you know it, we will be stepping into yet another season.. Bring it on...I am ready
SHUG...

Cozy chaos truly describes the season, Shug. Our temps have been swinging wildly, too, and each morning I have to check the weather before deciding what I'll wear. It's all good! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI’m afraid my days of chaos are long gone. One blessed thing at a time or things fall apart. 😊❤️
ReplyDeleteCosy chaos sounds wonderful, something to be embraced. Each season brings its joys and pleasures.
ReplyDeleteOh I hate those smelly candles anyone with a breathing problem is bothered by them. Stores this time of year have pumpkin spices competing with pine everything it is horrible. Some people must be buying the stuff. I must make pumpkin bread soon! Your porch sounds like a perfect spot to sit at the end of the day!
ReplyDelete"Cozy chaos" -- oh, I love that. Your mention of caffeinated squirrels made me giggle ... yet, how I can relate. I actually changed clothes 3 times yesterday and may wind up doing the same before bed. It's all good!
ReplyDeleteCozy Chaos !!! I love that !!
ReplyDeleteUmmm yummm to pumpkin bread. We just finished a loaf of homemade banana bread. Either is perfect with a good cup of coffee.
Dave and I are struggling to sell eBay stuff. We have LOTS and sure would like to get it out of the house and a chunk of change in our check book.
No rain today ... It helps dry things out a bit so we can get back to "Every Leaf Speaking Bliss" ...
Love the picture of the Fall Cup. It just says it all.
Have a good weekend and will be praying for you as you travel and Sam has his appointment.
(((hugs)))

I do enjoy an autumn-themed candle! As I age, I've decided using a candle warmer to melt the scent into our rooms (instead of burning it) seems safer. No open flames for senior citizens is my safety tip.
ReplyDeleteYou have given me such a laugh about the caffeinated squirrels and the candle scents!!! We are also alternating between the high 60's and the low 30's! Oh, by the way, have you seen the cute little candles at Wal-Mart? They are in a little box that looks just like a stove!! So cute I got one for me and one for a gift.
ReplyDeleteI agree - Cozy chaos truly describes the season, Shug. The temperatures. The time changes. Health. I am praying for your hubs Monday. Still the warmth and love of November shines through.
