Antiquing, Rain, Pizza

Antiquing in the Rain:

Yesterday was a memory making Saturday for sure. My daughters and I headed out in the rain for a little antiquing adventure. Umbrellas in hand, laughter in tow, we wandered through a nearby antique store and we poked our heads in every corner of the Three story shop....We were treasure hunting!!!

We did pause midday for a nice lunch where Mylee Jo came and joined us... The younger generation can sure make for many more laughs and Mylee certainly has a special ability to do just that.

After filling our tummy's with some good food, we splashed back out into the puddles and headed to another antique shop.

I didn't buy a single thing.  Not one!! All I could think about was the decluttering I've been doing this past week. I just couldn't bring myself to add another item to the house....Yay!!!  This was certainly a personal victory for me!! We tried on crowns and giggled like we were some kind of royalty.

What a fun day it was....This was a much needed day of laughter for me and it sure filled my heart with tons of joy!

Our day ended with family time and pizza....

The guys joined us at Shanda's for pizza....but we didn't have room on the sofa for them.!!  LOL...😅😅😅

Shug....

  4. most definitely not room on the sofa and it appears to me that its not really a six woman sofa either and not even room for a dog... I love that photo and would have loved antique shopping. the last time I bought anything in antigue shop was in 1988 I think. We moved here and I did wander in the stores but bought nothing. I am happy for you that you fought the desire to buy that crown and I would have wanted the mask. love it. what a blessing for all of you to have time together.

  8. Where on earth did y'all happen on those crowns?!?!?!? I love this so much and wonder how you managed a straight face. (Befitting royalty, don't you know.) I love how you and your daughters manage to find the sunshine even throughout the rain.

  16. Antique browsing is so much fun. This looks like a great shop! And such a cute and fun picture of the three of you with crowns. So good of you to be decluttering and giving things away, Shug. So many of us are doing that right now, and it's a process for sure. Pizza is the perfect meal to end the day. I'm glad you had a wonderful time with your girls. That always makes for good memories.
