Fun, Busy, Saturday.

Sam and I had a very busy Saturday!  We made a trip to Waco, Texas to watch Mylee Jo and her team.......  WIN THEIR DISTRICT GAME IN BASKETBALL.  🏀

The girls played a great game and will now advance on towards the State playoffs.

This is a photo of "Magnolia Market" (chip and Joanna Gaines) place in Waco.  The gym where the girls were playing basketball was just across the street from the Silos.

Would you believe that we DID NOT even go to the Market.  Gosh...this was hard not to do, as I love all of the things they market and how they have this place set up.  On the corner, just in front of the Silos is their bakery and my understanding is that they offer so many wonderful desserts and bakery goods,

I drove half of the way home, while Sam snoozed and may have snored!  This was a 2 hour drive there and not quite a 2 hour drive home.  I have a tendency to drive a little faster than Sam.   LOL.

We stopped at the Mexican restaurant (here in our town) for dinner and split fajitas.  After eating, we stopped by the post office, where I found a wonderful surprise in our mail box.  Connie (Far Side of Fifty) had sent me a sweet card (Which she made) and I absolutely loved it.  Thank you big time Connie.

And then for the excitement of the Day!  Granddaughter #1 and her mom (Trista) came by the house.  Our last visit with Tori was on Jan. 4th, so it was great to see her and give her a BIG OL' HUG.

This girl....she keeps us laughing.  Her personality is FULL.  Always full of laughter and she is one of those gals whose expressions are Hilarious, Animated and Priceless.  She has such a lively personality and she truly brings her stories to life.  Each and every expression makes her just that much more lovable.

Here she is with her mom.....

Oh Yes....it was a Fun, Busy, Saturday for us!

                        💗💗💗💗💗💗

Hoping for a Bright Sunshiny day .... even though our temps have dropped into the upper 50's.  Hope you all WEAR a lot of LOVE today.

shug....💛

  2. What a wonderful day you had. And to the playoffs she goes! Most excellent. Very pretty girls. Looks like a good time for everyone. I love that.

PS: I drew hearts to put on the back of my blog and when I did, the banner on the outsides went black and a black frame was placed around every picture in the blog. Have you had that happen? I see your hearts and no black on either side of your banner. Any ideas? Much thanks, Ivy.

  3. What a fun and action-packed Saturday! Congrats to Mylee Jo and her team for winning their district game—that's so exciting! It's funny that you were right by Magnolia Market but didn’t make it in, especially with all the tempting bakery treats. It sounds like you had a great day, though, from the drive to dinner and that sweet surprise in the mail. And I can just imagine how much joy your granddaughter brings with her lively personality! It's moments like these that make for unforgettable days.

  5. You have such a beautiful family!
I went to Magnolia Market 3 years ago with my sisters. We had such fun, and I can tell you that the cupcakes from that bakery were amazing!

  7. I would have been tempted to go to Magnolia Market, but it sounds like there wasn't enough time to fit everything in.

  10. Your description of Tori makes me think she is a mini YOU. Making the state competition is a HUGE deal!!! I have never seen the Magnolia Market!! Very impressive. Some of her things are kind of bland for me; I like more color.

  12. Your beautiful granddaughter sounds like you! Just a bundle of energy, personality and fun. She’s your granddaughter, alright!
Gosh I don’t know anything about Magnolia Market, but from the previous comments I might be missing out. I think I’ve heard of the people you mentioned through my nieces in Alabama the last time I visited. We don’t have cable so I don’t have a clue! 🤷‍♀️

When you mentioned Waco I instantly thought of the Branch Dravidian and that horrible massacre. I remember that. So sad.

Mexican food is always welcome after a busy fun day.

    God bless, Debby

  13. yaaay for Mylee Jo for winning her district game. Oh my, those fajitas sound delicious. I used to always get fajitas and share them at my favorite Mexican restaurant in my hometown. You just can't go wrong with fajitas, right? Your granddaughter looks just like her mom, and I love Trista's bright Pink sweatshirt. That is something she can wear for Valentine's Day. ; )

I'm so glad you got my address today. I love goodies in the mail! : )
