 Oh Y'all.....let me tell you.  EXCITEMENT was in this house this morning.   The outside temperature was only 56 degrees!!  I mean 56 degrees in the near middle of September, in Texas!!  This is big news!

I hope this hangs around for a while....But in our neck of woods it could be 95 degrees next week.

This morning, I'm baking Banana Nut muffins with lots of Pecans.
I'll bake another batch this afternoon with NO pecans for the little rascals in the family that don't like nuts.

~~~~~
I just got off of the phone with a company that we purchased an extended warranty policy with on one of our vehicles.
Seems that this company is a FRAUD and now we are out around $700.00.
While I am not happy about this, I am thankful that I called to check on the policy.
Be careful friends, who you are dealing with!!
I have no clue who wrote all of the positive reviews about this company....😡
                           💥💥💥💥💥💥
So.....it's time for a change!  I'm sure that some of you know how it is when you have some gray roots....NO, a lot of gray roots, but you are not quite ready to GRAY?
This is me!!  I'm thinking about doing picture #1 or picture #2 ..........Haven't made up my mind yet.   My hair guy will give me good advice, hopefully.
                                **********
Well....we all make mistakes don't we!!   I just made a huge one! What in the World??
YES.......What in the World?
Not only did I burn them.....I did not use one of the ingredients.   FLOUR!! how to you bake a good sweet muffin without flour?  You don't!
This calls for a re-do...a re-bake...or something like that.
^^^^^^^^
I now have a big mess to clean up!!
See y'all tomorrow....
Shug...
  1. Not the flour! oh my so disappointing. Hope you like your new hair style which ever one you pick. I need a cut...not sure why...my hair is very long and always in a bun anyways but takes forever to dry. I think that all those extended warranty stuff is a rip off. They will not write one on a 1959 Desoto...just so you know:)
  2. Oh my goodness - you forgot the flour - I have done things like that before.
    I can't believe you are out $700 - but you sure do have a good attitude about it.
    I love the colors you picked for your hair.
    The bottom muffins look terrific!
  3. There was a nip in the air at my place this morning too! Although it's supposed to get in the 90s later in the week Fall is on the way.
  4. OM Goodness that is so funny. I've done things like that - forgetting the baking powder or once I forgot the eggs! And like you, I am completely surprised when I pull them out of the oven. LOL You must have been thinking of that fraud/Scam.
    I try to be very careful. I check everything. It helps that I just don't trust anyone. I'm a skeptic in my marriage. My husband can sometimes be misled by scams. Fortunately, they haven't cost us anything, and when in doubt he forwards the email to me. I have him trained not to click on links, etc.
    This morning, we were in the low 60s, and it was nice. We left the bedroom windows open all night. During the day, it's still in the 90s which isn't bad but I am finding it hard to even tolerate those temperatures. I was 80 or under! Preferably 75.
    You're a very pretty woman, so both hairstyles would look good on you. I am naturally white-haired, and I plan to keep it this way. I started turning white in my late teens and early 20s. I didn't like it back then! I use a shampoo with purple/blue hues to make my white hair stand out. I guess one could refer to me as the little old blue-haired lady even though it doesn't look blue.
    Have a blessed day.
  5. Burned the muffins??? Oh, no! Oh, well, it's not like none of us have ever forgotten a crucial ingredient when baking. I used to get my hair highlighted way back when, but decided to simply quit when the pandemic was upon us. My grey is certainly there, but I'm leaving it alone. It is blending with the natural color better than I ever thought it would. Enjoy those cooler temps while they last!
    Blessings, Shug!
  6. Love this long-awaited weather break!
    Your muffins mishap sounds like something I'd do! I make my mother's nut bread recipe every November/December, but it never occurred to me to make muffins. Great idea!
  8. So sorry about the muffins, but I know they will be good after the flour is put in. They sound Yummy. And I'll take mine with pecans. ; ) Those are cute hairstyles. The first one looks pretty easy to maintain. That's too bad about the warranty policy. I often wonder if these places are legitimate, so I know what you mean. So glad you are getting cooler temps in the mornings. Here too - it's in the 50's when I get in my car in the mornings, but warms up during the day. LOVE your Header, it's so cozy looking.
    Have a terrific week, Shug.
