The 4th of July, also known as Independence Day, is a cornerstone of American culture and history. It is certainly a day of national pride, fireworks, barbecues, and a celebration of the liberties and freedoms that define the United States. This holiday commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. This momentous event marks the birth of a new nation.
The 4th of July is synonymous with huge celebrations all across the Country. I love how the fireworks illuminate the sky in waterfalls of dazzling, glittery, amazement.
Many towns celebrate with not only firework displays, but with parades and bands, featuring music which celebrates our Nation.
Red, White and Blue colors adorn the streets. The savory aroma of Barbecue cooking is what most of consider to be the ultimate menu on the 4th. Games and activities are enjoyed by families and friends.
As we celebrate this year, may we all be mindful of the freedoms that we have. This is what defines the American way of life.
My List for the 4th of July:
