Hard to believe.....but the temps here in East Texas are suppose to reach the upper 70's today! Guess I'm going to have to pull out the Summer clothes!!
I'm making some headway.......Yay!!! Packages are all wrapped and half of my decorations are up.......Should I even bother putting out the rest of my Christmas decor? Hmmmmm.....I'm pretty close to taking the rest of it back out to the storage. I'm happy with how our home looks now.
In the Summer months.....happiness is having a yard full of big ol' trees. Today...everyone of those beautiful leaves are now covering my yard! Yikes.....quite a job ahead of us.
How about the rest of you? Are you enjoying all of the hustle and bustle of the Season? Is your kitchen filled with the fresh aroma of baked goods? Are you spreading love and cheer everywhere you go?!
I'm thankful for every opportunity that I have to spread God's word. I'm thankful for every opportunity to show love and kindness to others each day.
Blessings...
Shug
I do enjoy the Christmas season. I also miss doing the baking.Since I am alone,it makes no sense to bake a lot,but there are other ways to enjoy the season.
ReplyDeleteHello Shug, looks like you are all ready to welcome Christmas. Over here, we celebrate Christmas in small ways. Thank you for the reminder to spread God's word and love with others at every opportunity and to know kindness. Have a beautiful weekend!
ReplyDeleteShug, we will be almost as warm tomorrow. The weather is so strange. Things are busy here with Christmas just around the corner!
ReplyDeleteIt's WAY too warm here now also... I want December to be cold ---with SNOW on the ground.... ha ha (Probably won't happen --but I can dream)
ReplyDeleteWe have a busy Christmas Season... First, we'll visit son Jeff and wife Dawn on Dec. 20 at their home for an early Christmas. Then, sometime near Christmas, we will meet with G's daughter and hubby and hopefully his sister... THEN--on Jan1 (for several days), son Mark and the love of his life, Debbie, will be here. I'm so excited and anxious to meet her. I predict a wedding in 2016..... SO---it will be a fantastic Christmas for us....
Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family.
Hugs,
Betsy
We were at 70 today, my kind of winter! OH, I guess it's still fall, isn't it. Well, it works for me!
ReplyDeleteMost gifts have been purchased, no wrapping done yet, and decorating?? I KNEW I was forgetting something! Hubby bought a leaf picker-upper that he pushes around the yard, using manpower only, the leaves go into the "cart" and he bags them up. No more raking! One of the best things he ever bought. I hope to bake next week. Trying to spread love and cheer. Blessings to you!
Hi Shug!
ReplyDeleteOh my, so much work to do, so little time!! I am still in the process of buying gifts! Monday is my shopping day, and I will get it all done . . . hopefully.
I have been baking cookies, sugar cookies and Biscotti, two of our favorites! I will be decorating the sugar cookies with my little's next week, always a fun day. I will also be making candy, and popcorn balls!
Love and Cheer! Yes, I am trying, I can be a little scroogy this time of year, so I'm trying . . . :0) God is good!!
Hugs,
Barb

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I recently moved to NC and have been enjoying the mild weather. I hope it might get a bit colder for Christmas though.
I'm afraid I don't have anything wrapped but my decorations are up. I just got home from visiting my new baby granddaughter so I'm behind in most everything Christmas.
