Let me introduce you to another side of "ME"
I warn you...It's not the good side!! lol.
So, about a month ago, I started noticing a small, little shocking feeling when HOT or COLD touched a certain tooth. Well....it's still happening today and I know without a doubt that I need to call the Dentist.
Why haven't I already done so...you ask? Because "Stubborn Me" has been in control.
The cost of Dental work is SO EXPENSIVE and it seems like ever time I go....It ends up costing me anywhere between $500 and $2500.
dollars!
You need a Root Canal....You need a Crown...You need a Post!! Seems like this is the statement that I hear ever time I go.
(Maybe I exaggerated on the EVER TIME I GO)
I always make sure I get my regular dental appointments and cleanings...
I Brush and Brush.....I floss, and I try to do everything possible to keep my teeth healthy.....but somehow, my teeth are prone to always needing work done.
With "SM" calling the shots here....I just might end up having to pay more than I would have had to pay...if only I had called the Dentist a month ago. (I need to get rid of the Stubborn ME)
Sounds crazy, but I had rather PULL the tooth as to spend more money on my teeth. Don't think this will work...since it would leave a big gap in my smile!
Many of you may be asking....Is this all that you have to blog about today? NO.... just thought you might want to meet the stubborn me.
and..... to say that my being so pigheaded is not GOOD!!
I just called my Dentist and according to my dental records....I will more than likely be having a root canal done!! ARGH!
I see the Dentist in the morning at 8:00.
Hope all is Well....in your corner of the World.

A root canal? On the tooth that is extra sensitive? I was hoping if you went right away, you may only need a filling. Please let us know what happens! I know we have all been through our fair share of dental drama. Dental insurance sucks!! Or should I say it BITES, ha ha! It only pays for checkups and cavities, and not the expensive stuff. We have not found any decent dental coverage anywhere! And now Phil needs two caps and they are a thousand each!! We could only afford one cap and are waiting on the other until we pay off the first one. If the tooth lasts that long!
ReplyDeleteI also despise going to the dentist. Just can't help it!
ReplyDeleteI do hope that the problem with your tooth can be resolved and at the least cost possible.I think we all have a bit of a stubborn streak in us
ReplyDeleteShug, my dear, I am a white-knuckle dental patient. My SIL is an oral surgeon in New Braunfels, Shertz and Boerne, and I sure hope I don't have to go to see him any time soon. He'll put me out for sure! Hope all goes well and the cost doesn't break you up!
ReplyDeleteRight there with you sister!
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well.
I think we all deal with a stubborn
side.
M : )
I am like you when it comes to dental work; I avoid it until I must go in. I had to pay $600 for a crown two months ago and my husband paid $600 for one last week. That is with insurance. Hope you have good news at the dentist.
ReplyDeleteOh, Shug!! You, my mom and I share that same story! Arghhh... and I try to take such good care of my teeth... so does mom. I'm saying a little prayer for you this morning. And, sending a big hug! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteWell I must say I saw myself in your post. I was stubborn too, and ended up having gaps in my smile, and missing also a couple back teeth.
ReplyDeleteFinally, I found a dentist that was really reasonable and so I got partials....no more gaps and I can chew. I can smile for every picture. It was worth it.
Agggggghhhhh--one of the worst things for us to think about. Both George and I could spend thousands and thousands of dollars on our teeth--and we just don't want to... SO---we just ignore things which need to be done.. I know we'll regret that someday--but right now, it's NOT a priority... We do however, brush and floss and try to take care of what we have....
ReplyDeleteHope you got yours taken care of without costing an arm and a leg... CRAZY!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
P.S. We did both spend an arm and a leg on our eyes recently --and THAT is a priority for us now... SO-- guess we all spend our money the way we want to.
