I think I'm losing it.....could this really be true?
What is IT? My ability to DECORATE!!
Evidently....I have hit a very "DRY" spell when it comes to my decorating skills...
Summer is on it's way out and I am ready to embrace Autumn....But my get up and go just isn't working....
It really is so simple....All I need to do is to make some small subtle changes....
Change out the pillows and some throws...Add some fruit (gourds and pumpkins) change out some flower arrangements, add a little spice would be nice, and.....before long, our home would be all set for the wonderful season that we call Autumn!
for the first time ever, I feel like I just can't do this.....BUT, maybe a little motivation is all I need....
So I think I'll check out a few decorating blogs today and glance at a few magazines...
Hopefully, My get up and go will return shortly....
We shall see!!
Decorate today....send me some pictures of what you have done... Looks like I need your help!
Blessings,
Shug !
It always helps me to walk through a craft store...ideas abound there!
ReplyDeletelol Have an inspiring day!
I hear ya. I am pooped this week. I can barely get the housework done. I am hoping by the weekend I get some energy to do the fall decorating. Camping always wears me out. Am I getting too old for it I wonder?
ReplyDeleteWell, when I first saw your pictures, I thought you had changed your mind about the red kitchen and gone all orange!!!! Glad to see I was wrong. Well, I depend on people like you to give me ideas! You are going through a lot, and right now your mind needs all it's energy to focus on other things, this is not a bad thing. I just was catching up on Zoey. What is the prognosis for this condition and are the doctors able to help?. It is very rare? I will continue to pray, I am so sorry.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how we get this way sometimes? It happens to me all the time. It was the cooler weather that brought some pep to my fall spirit and helped me to get things movin' again. I hope you can find something that motivates you...it is frustrating to be stuck in a rut, especially when it is something you enjoy doing. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteOh and it sounds like you have been busy with a child who is going through some medical issues. I am so sorr to hear this. I will be praying for little Zoey. God bless you, Kristine
ReplyDeleteI think we all go through some "dry" spells - although my decorating has been nothing but!!
ReplyDeletegood luck and lots of inspiration!
Mary
No dry spell! Comparatively, your place is totally decked out!
ReplyDeleteOn your husband's post tell him to tell the preacher he's "fishing" for souls. He'll believe him if he will bring visitors to church with him! Sorry Sam, I already have a church home.
ReplyDeleteYou won't get any help from me; I've got the same problem you do. My blog page is as far as I've gotten in the Fall decor dept. I'm just hopin' I do something for Christmas.
ReplyDelete:(
I hear you...what little I have done does not really make my house look fallish yet:( I did light an oil candle yesterday with pumpkin essence..it did help, but since I'm sick this week, I can't get motivated!!
ReplyDeleteLet me know how you get inspired!
Blessings...
xoxo Gert

ReplyDeleteHang in there...one of these days you will just be in the mood and you'll go to town. I'm a new follower. Thanks for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteI haven't started the change over yet! Fall is my favorite, but time hasn't been on my side lately!!
ReplyDeleteI think it is this interminable heat!! And, knowing we will NOT have a colorful fall. It is hard to think about decorating for fall when it was 107 yesterday. That's all I'm sayin' about that.
ReplyDeleteblessings ~ tanna
