White, Orange and Yellow

How about this outstanding Wednesday morning?  It is going to be a great day.....

I felt like a limp noodle all day yesterday.  I do have a confession to make and I know that it will surprise you all because I could not believe it myself.  Monday morning was a day like no other.  Sam and I did not wake up until 9:30 that morning.  We never sleep past six thirty even on the weekends.

I suppose our weekend was very relaxing.

The weather has been really nice these past few days.  Made me want to get started on my Fall decorating.  Must have made others feel the same way.  When we drove in Monday afternoon from our weekend trip, our neighbors across the street had their entire yard decorated with not only Fall decorations, but Halloween decorations as well....

Fall really does not begin until September 22, but I feel like it is that time right now....

I was Blessed enough to find some CANDY CORN already out in the stores.  Candy corn and peanuts...YUM...YUM....YUMMY!

Here is a great recipe!

One empty bowl.....

Two cans of salted peanuts...

Two containers of Candy Corn.....

Mix em' together and Yum..O.  You have yourself a good snack.  Watch out though, it is addictive!

My family loves to munch on this all through the Fall season....It is great with honey roasted peanuts and cashews too!

This is a great gift for friends or teachers...Put some in a jar, place the lid on it and tie a little raffia around the lid.  Wow..they will love it...

A couple of years ago when Tucker was still receiving his chemo treatments every week, Trista and I fixed two huge containers of this mixture and took it to the hospital for the clinic staff to snack on. Two days later when we went back for Tucker to see the doctor and it was all gone. Not one peanut left!  I'm talking about TWO HUGE containers of the mix.

I love making snacks like this and I also love cooking in the Fall...Apple dumplings, Apple cake, banana nut bread, pumpkin bread, poppy seed bread, and much, much, more.

Looking forward to sharing some of these recipes with you.

Hope to see you each day and Hope you'll love what I have to serve...

Shug.....

Good Food, Good Friends, how much better could it be?

  3. Many years ago we discovered this and I carried it for our sister trip - they wanted to know if I took the day off to make it - told them I wouldn't share the receipe. So every sister trip after that, we have to make sure we have the recipe(that's what we call it - the receipe) Happy Fall!!
