Seriously....These are what I call very Different...
Can anyone guess what they are??
If you guessed mushrooms then you guessed correctly.
Yesterday was absolutely Beautiful...
I'm talking ...it was a gorgeous day!!
It seemed like the sun was lighting up the whole world.
It was bold and golden.... and the sun rays felt so GOOOOOD.
So...I went exploring!!
Not far... just around the yard. I love it when adventure is just a few steps away.
The first thing I found was these Odd little mushrooms.
I do believe that they popped up overnight. Look at them...they are fascinating. They almost look as if they have been polished don't they?
This is what I call true earthy finds!!
They were all nestled right into the straw-colored grass, and they reminded me of old fashioned chocolate drop candies.. lol. Or perhaps two old friends just sitting there on the lawn, absorbing the warmth of the day.
Hey y'all, maybe these are jeweled 👑 mushrooms!! What you think?
I did do a little more exploring and found my first Bluebonnet plant for the season. It is tiny, but I am very thankful to see that it made it through the ICE storm we had a few weeks ago.
Leaving y'all today with this image

Something that I saw yesterday that made me laugh...
Evidently it has found a way to climb up to the top of the fence. I guess it enjoys watching the cars as they pass by.... So cute!!
Really Different stuff today...
Love,
Shug...

Those mushrooms are quite interesting. I frequently see unusual looking mushrooms on my walks when the weather is humid. Although I've never seen such dark colored ones.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe I've ever seen that type of mushroom, Shug, but when the time is right, the ones we have here will seemingly pop up overnight, especially after a good rain. Loved the dog photo - LOL! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteMushroom are so cool! I love how they pop up so quickly.
ReplyDeleteI love the dog too!
Amazing mushrooms and a very nosey dog - perfect.
ReplyDeleteI would not be surprised it you did have RSV; it is going around here! I love your green post today! The header and the shamrock. I have never seen black shiny mushrooms! I will be praying for Sam's appointment!
ReplyDeleteThat dog is sitting on a giant mushroom.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Praying all goes well with Sam's doctor appointment and that you can continue to have some "Sunshine Days".
ReplyDeleteI never saw that kind of mushroom before either. Wonder if it will multiply.
Hugs to you dear friend.
Sue
I've never seen mushrooms like that, but I do experience the miracle of mushrooms popping up overnight. 😊❤️
ReplyDeletethat dog is at least 7 feet tall..... ha ha ha. love it. also love your hike around your yard, I like to do that even though mine is a disaster.. Yesterday I watched a beautiful black racer laying in a sun puddle. he was cold and sluggish and I wanted a photo but he was so happy and blissful in the hot sun trying to warm up enough to move, I did not bother him..that shiny mushroom is new to me
ReplyDeleteGosh, I've never seen anything like those mushrooms! After a Girl Scouts' field trip many years ago, it was literally decades before I dared to eat one and not worry I was going to die. (lol)
ReplyDeleteThat dog's expression cracks me up. Loving life! Is he your neighbor?
That's a new mushroom for me. The ones we usually get are tan or off white.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever seen those mushrooms before. I don't think I would eat any mushrooms a person picked though - lol. That dog sure looked tall!
ReplyDeleteI've heard of the Texas Bluebonnets, and they are so pretty. What a strange looking species of mushrooms. You know, mushrooms kind of freak me out when I see them growing wild, but I do like them in burgers, pizza, and other dishes. We had snow today, but the sun is coming out this afternoon, and it's slowly melting. So good that you did some exploring around your yard, Shug, and sometimes we find the most interesting things close to home. That dog picture is funny - he probably found something to stand on to look out at all the adventures going on in the neighborhood. ; ) Have a very nice week, Shug.
ReplyDeleteI love how observant you are, Shug. Spring is on its way! xx
ReplyDeleteWell, from your two latest posts, it seems like spring is really on the horizon in your neck of the woods and it sounds wonderful. There's nothing around here but snow...with more in the forecast. Our harbor is a solid ice as far as the eye can see...I like your view better!! :)
ReplyDeleteYOu found a lot while you were out exploring. I was looking out the window yesterday and spotted some tiny mushrooms in my front yard so had to go out and get pictures.
ReplyDeleteLove the fun different here today. :) That dog pic cracked me up. I love how sometimes our backyards can hold the neatest treasures. Mushrooms like that forever remind me of my Annie. When she was little she fully believed in fairies and loved looking for mushroom rings to pop up in the yard as, per lore, that meant a fairy party had happened there. 💗 Miss that magic with her - maybe grandkids one day will bring some of that back. Blessings. xo
ReplyDeleteThey really do look almost like chocolate!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, thanks for sharing. Wishing you a lovely day my friend.
ReplyDeleteMushrooms really do seem to pop up overnight. Not just outdoors, but sometimes even in the soil of some of my potted plants.
