I love Sundays!!!
Around here, this is a day that moves a little slower. I like to think that God Himself pressed the "pause" button just long enough for us to take a deep breath and to spend more time in Worship of Him.
I love how Sunday's have a sacred rhythm. I enjoy the morning light as it streams through my back french doors and how my coffee taste so much better today.....and how the sound of worship music fills my heart. It is so wonderful to have a day to step away from the noise and draw closer to the one who holds it all together.
Spiritually, Sundays reset me. They remind me that no matter how messy my Monday through Saturday may be, His mercies are brand new every morning.
I've shared why I love Sundays spiritually....how they slow me down, refill my soul, and point me back to God's grace...
Now it's your turn!!
Here is a quick, simple challenge....** Plus there will be a sweet, surprise give-away.... Don't forget to leave your name with your comment. I will draw a name on Wednesday, so don't forget to stop back by on Wednesday to see who's name was drawn.
🍃 Share one thing that makes Sundays special for you. Is it a favorite worship song? (Please share the title)..... a scripture, (Please share the verse).... a Sunday tradition, Please share.

I'm looking forward to seeing what makes Sundays special for each of you...
Have fun!!

I am excited to learn about your Sundays and about what makes them special for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteSince we don't have a church, Shug, we do have church here at home. When our son was alive, we did attend church and hubby or him would also have a short lesson. Hubby (a formal chaplain) is preparing the lesson as I write this. My favorite verse of all time is Proverbs 22:6. It is often very hard to keep that in mind, especially with all the bad stuff at where I work because most of the inmates have never had good family lives etc. Wishing you a beautiful day my friend.
ReplyDeleteSunday is special because we go to church. Today we sang "Do not be afraid". Here it is if you don't know it, sang by my friend Father Francis Maple.
ReplyDeleteThe hymn is quite appropriate for these difficult times in the world.
Usually, we take it easy on Sundays and don't do any work.
God bless you and yours this Sunday and always.
Sorry - forgot to link to the hymn:

Our Sundays are quieter, a little more reflective. My favourite verses are Matthew 7:1 - 'Judge not that ye be not judged,' and Psalm 23.
