Yesterday Happenings!!!
There is nothing like staying in your PJ's all day long. When the weather is cold outside, my PJ's bring me much comfort and a lot of warmth.
When the temperatures drop and the chill sets in, I sure enjoy the comfort of my fleece pajamas. I feel like I am recharging my soul and this is an awesome feeling.
What makes a great companion for a cold day?? A Big pot of homemade Chili. Yum...such a hearty meal waiting for us at the end of the day! I have found that I can make a good pot of chili in no time......even in the comfort of my pj's.
Bookkeeping might not sound like the most enjoyable thing to do on a lazy day, but oddly enough, I find it to be very relaxing. My recliner was the perfect spot for updating my books. I was actually able to make a huge dent in my end of the year work, while listening to some good Christian music. I love this ↓↓↓ song. Hope you will take the time to search for this song.

And last but not least....later in the day, I tackled a huge task of scrubbing the grout in my tile of the kitchen floor. The results of my hard work was very satisfying. This needed to be done and now my kitchen floors have gone from being grimy to what I call gleaming.
Our outside temps are supposed to be COLD again today.... Woo hoo...another pajama day perhaps!! No...I actually have a hair appointment.
You know, it is in the simple moments like I had yesterday, that I am reminded of how wonderful it is to have a warm, safe place to call home.

I sit typing in my long flannel, warm cozy gown. On cold days, that is what I wear in the house. we don't get many cold days but over the past 2 weeks its been flannel gown days. I just grumped because I had to get dressed and go pick up RX at Publix. its only .6 mile and there and back in 15 minutes. for that I had to dress. it 51 right now and that is about our high for the day..

I can't focus on taxes or books or bills unless the house is silent. math is my worst thing. I have to have quiet and there is none. the TV talks all day long
Sounds like my day yesterday too...sans the pj's...it's what I call a "piddly" day with many small jobs that only I know were accomplished. Feels good though. It feels like both Dave and I are finally coming out of our "dark cave" of icky health. Not all well but on our way.

Simple pleasures are the best! Well, maybe not scrubbing grout ... but your floor is stunning! I know what you mean about the feeling of accomplishment that comes with tackling a project; unfortunately, I usually wait until the mood strikes. Then I wonder whatever took me so long. Okay, now I'm off to listen to Jervis. TTFN!

ReplyDeleteI need a PJ day maybe Friday:) Your floor looks great what did you use to clean the grout? I have a brush and I use Simple Green...and for tough spots a magic eraser!

I am like MadSnapper - I am in my PJ'[s/gowns unless I am going out! I am bad. But I do know how good it is to stay home. Think I will have that opportunity Friday - snow?

Yes! Pajama Days are the best. So many days I don't have to go out, I will wear my pjs. They are comfortable, and create less laundry! I literally just showered and put on some cozy pjs! Your floors are beautiful! Love your love of home, my friend.

DeleteThey only time staying in PJ's all day is acceptable would be when one is sick. You never see Japanese workers and professionals in their PJ's past 7AM.
