A Fence Post and more!!

Hello to all........Guess what?  It's raining here again in East Texas!

We are completely water logged!    One of my "crazy" friends on wondering if the "Burn Ban" is still in effect?!

Of course....he is joking!

Thought I'd join "Good Fences" today........

Pictures that I took last year.....while visiting in Gruene, Texas.
I love visiting there.    (My header picture was also taken in Gruene)

The fence that surrounds "Gruene Hall".......the old Dance Hall!

This fence surround the "Gruene Mansion Inn" which is my header photo....

I know that many of you have visited in Gruene and have probably tubed down the Guadalupe River......I certainly HAVE!
Many times!!

Ok....Susie A.   I know you are reading and you can stop laughing!!

SIDE NOTE:     (One of my trips ...... tubing down the river...... made for a GREAT story!)

If you have never visited Gruene, Texas.....   You need to plan a trip......Go ride the river......Eat some GOOD food.....and shop!

Make it a fun-filled day!!

Sounds like a fun place to visit! And I love those fences and your header! The sun is shining brightly here and it's warming up so I will be planting flowers later. Here's hoping the rain stops soon by you, I've been following it on the news --- here's to good sunny weather coming your way shortly! Take care

Been there, done that, just a couple of years ago. I only hope I get to go back one day. It's a much longer drive from my home in Illinois now than when I lived in Texas. We ate at some old mill restaurant high about the river and watched the tubers float by. Had to leave early because of tornado warning, but I got really good photos of the old dance hall inside and out. You lucky girl!

Been there and have enjoyed the shops, the food, and the dance. I have never made the river float however. Great fence picture. Have a special day.

It looks like a gorgeous place! No, I have never been to Texas. The fence is so beautiful, and beyond it is a star shaped little flower garden! I guess it is a big Texas star! I love all those people tubing, there are so many! So sorry it is raining yet again! It is raining here and COLD, in the fifties!

Wow that home is amazing and looked so festive deck out for what I'm guessing was the 4th of July. - Loved the pretty fencing surrounding it too. And I'm dying to hear your tubing story.

Hi Shug!

I would love to go tubing down that beautiful river - maybe if you wait long enough you can go tubing in your backyard! I'm so sorry that you are so waterlogged!

I love your pictures today - I have never heard of Gruene, I would love to visit, it's beautiful.

Haven't been to this town but we've tubed the river and I've never had so much fun in my entire life...I laughed so hard the whole time that I wet my swim suit..(no one could tell) and I would go again in a New York Minute if I wasn't 77 yrs old. :)
Love that fence around the Inn...

I've been down that river... in a raft with paddles.
I am embarrassed to say... I don't remember much of it. :o
Your photos are beautiful!
I am curious about the roof on the ground, though!

You know I've never done that! I might have to add it to my bucket list. Only now I might need a tractor tube to float myself! Ha! blessings ~ tanna
