Our Inner Beauty

{Your Beauty} should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
                                                                       1 Peter 3:4

In today's world, there is a great need for Peace in our lives and in our homes.  As women, we are suppose to help supply that peace by following after scripture and by having a quite and gentle spirit.

Women are to be soft, gentle, loving, kind and full of grace.....We are to manifest the "Fruit of the Spirit."  I believe that this can be done if you are a stay at home mom or if you are the CEO in charge a major company.  I also believe a woman's gentleness makes her strong.

A woman who walks close to God is free to be herself...This makes us free to carry ourselves with great dignity and by doing so, we are free to give meaning to our husband, to our children and to our home....  We should cherish each moment that we have of raising our children and of being a woman that supports her husband in every possible way.

In My opinion, gentleness is the very best cosmetic that a woman can use.  I think this is something that men long to see in women these days.  It's not all about the outer beauty.....but what it is about is being a woman that is full of grace.  Women should know who they are and accept every part of their being as beautiful.  We should expect to be admired for our boundless love.

Shug, I love this post! This is the woman I strive to be, and you've put it into words so beautifully.

I love the verse from 1 Peter. Copying it down.

Fabulous post, Shug... That's what we all should strive to be: Peaceful, full of grace, and gentle... What else is there???? Thanks for a creative post.

This is beautiful! I love this line "A woman who walks close to God is free to be herself"
Free to be who God created us to be!
Have a blessed day!

Wonderful post, Shug! I love that verse! So many only worry about their outer beauty but it will fade away eventually. The inner beauty that is cultivated never will. Gentleness is something I see so lacking in a lot of the young these days. I think too many see it as a sign of weakness when in fact it is just the opposite.

Being gentle, kind and patience are the qualities that I strive for. The Proverbs 31 woman is the woman I wish I could say I was. Hugs, Cheryl
