Thankful Thursday:
Good morning, Y'all.
A stunning East Texas sunrise... Just look at the colors! God certainly knows how to put on a show and He does not ever charge a single penny for the view.
In this photo, I see beautiful colors of orange, red and yellow, but I also see the three crosses that are standing in the middle of a pasture.
Looking at the whole picture, I thought about how life is much like a river. Some days the waters are calm, gently carrying us along, and other days the current is strong, the waters are muddy, and we find ourselves wondering what's around the next bend.
We can't always control the direction that the river takes, and we can't stop every storm that comes our way. But one thing I know for sure is that God never promised us smooth waters, but He did promise to be with us through them.
My connection between the photo above and the river? When I saw the vibrant colors and then saw the crosses, I immediately saw a river flowing in the sky. I love how God speaks to us through the simplest things and He delivers a message that speaks to us directly.

I am thankful that I am a christian and I'm thankful for a God who cares enough to paint a picture in the sky...perhaps just for me?

That sky is just beautiful and have told my girls that before, that life is a lot like a river. I am glad to be in calm waters at the moment.
The sky is gorgeous. I believe God paints the sky for everyone to enjoy, but not everyone looks at it as a gift.
