The glow of a fireplace

This morning, as I walked past this little fire, I caught myself slowing down...just simply admiring the glow of this beautiful scene. The room is quiet, and the warm glow... it feels like it is waiting just for me.

It's funny how a simple flame, even coming from an electric fireplace, can wrap a room in a feeling that words can not quite capture.

So...yes, on this Thursday morning, I am grateful for the kind of warmth that I am feeling right now. A warmth that reaches deeper than my skin...the kind that settles deep in my soul, and reminds me that home is more than a place....It's where I belong.

I feel that way about my apartment too. And I don’t even have a fireplace, just 50 years of love, ❤️

Update on Sam

12/09/25 Wanted to hop on here and give a quick update on Sam. We have an appointment with the New Oncologist on Thursday of this week. I have a huge list of questions to try to get some answers. I am really worried about him. The past 3 weeks have been very difficult for him and he is very weak. I keep asking myself what can I do to help him. I don't have an answer. It is very difficult watching him struggle to eat. So many foods hurt his stomach, yet he needs a lot of protein. At this point, we do not know if this new doctor will order immunotherapy, chemo, or something totally different. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. Prayers for Emotions, Energy, and just to be able to eat.
