Good Morning Friends!
We woke up this morning to the sound of RAIN! Not just any rain...... how about GOLD rain?
Underneath this sea of gold are our walkways in front of the house. While it is, truly raining outside....I wasn't expecting to see this path of gold.
Our Golden Elm tree is shedding it's leaves!
🍂🍃🍂🍃🍂🍃🍂
We attended our little town's Christmas Parade on Friday evening.
Wow...it was awesome!
These Two had the Best time!
Actually.....we ALL had a wonderful time...even pops who was sitting in the car because it was COLD outside.
The Nativity scene was one of my favorite floats. Mary, Joseph and the babe.....such a reminder of the Holy child and the reason for the season.
Sorry.....this one is a bit blurry. This trailer was filled with lights and snowmen. So beautiful against the night sky.
It is very difficult to take pictures of moving lights.
And this one!! Loved it!!
There were a lot of lighted jeeps in the parade so I am thinking maybe a Jeep club.
Lights adorned every float....and it was wonderful to listen and see how so many of the lights flickered in timing, with the music's beat.
The American Flag float.......So proud and so high! A symbol of hope, in this season's embrace.
As the evening ended, I saw so much happiness in the hearts of all the kids......and adults as well.
A wonderful Hometown Christmas parade. I loved it because the community came together....out in the cold.....to celebrate the warmth of this special Christmas Season.
I can just imagine the kids of today, reminiscing in years to come, about the Christmas parades they attended as a child.
This is a reflection of what truly matters.
The celebration of the Birth of Jesus Christ.....togetherness, creativity, and tons of JOY.
Can't wait for next year's Christmas Parade.
Hugs to all of you...
Shug...
Small town parades are the best! We missed ours this year, but the kids made it.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the golden rain in your yard. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteI do love the small town parades too. Its so "family" and something we need more of in this crazy world of ours.
Have a wonderful day.

Your golden rain is so pretty! We have a Japanese Maple in our back yard and it tends to drop all it's leaves quickly. The leaves turn a brilliant red and also look so pretty when they all fall.
ReplyDeleteThe parade looks like so much fun!
I loved seeing your Christmas Parade!
ReplyDeleteI love your golden path, smiles...and your parade looked so nice! AND send some of that rain and cold temps. We had to flip the ac back on due to it being so humid. Wishing you a beautiful week ahead, smiles.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun parade that must have been.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful parade, Shug! I'm glad you could turn out to watch it in that cold. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYes, small town Christmas parades! We have one too. ❤️
ReplyDeleteHow my parents loved a good parade -- whether it be the Rose Bowl or small-town Americana. The children are adorable. Now I wish we'd made plans to attend ours last week.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fuin parade!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun - bet your cold was 50 degrees - lol. I love the jeeps with lights - we have a couple here. And the American Flag- man how I love the red, white, and blue!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a parade in a long time.
I think the cold is somehow part of the celebration and memories of a parade. I love the lighted Jeeps! And I had no idea there are Golden Elms!!
