Mexican Food.....  I love it all.   

TEX-MEX  OR AUTHENTIC.........

 Churros, Fajita's, Carne Asada, Street Tacos, Pico, Taquitos, Salsa Verde, Enchiladas, Pollo Asada, Nachos, and the list goes on and on!

But not only do I like/love the food, I also like all of the beautiful banners, lights, Garland, etc, etc.

All of the decorations really set the mood for eating at a Mexican Restaurant...The ambiance along with the Ranchera style music makes for a great expression of the Mexican culture. 

There really is a big difference in TEX-MEX and AUTHENTIC foods.  Yellow cheese is usually a must in Tex-Mex foods.  Especially here in Texas! We love our yellow cheese!

North of the Border is considered TEX-MEX, however, we do have places here in Texas that serve the REAL authentic Mexican food and sauces!

I honestly think I could eat this type of food at least 3 or 4 times a week... 😁

I think this is what we will have for dinner!!

I don't post many pictures of our baby girl, Emma Kate. 

 My goodness, she is growing so fast and I miss both of our great-grandchildren so very much!!

I can only imagine the conversation she is having with "Archie" in this picture.  After all....she (Emma) is the boss of the house and possibly the neighborhood.

Tanning weather on Monday with a high near 80.   Wednesday....possibility of ice and snow!

I'm not sure that I ever grew up with particular dreams.  Certainly not any dreams like Dolly Parton had in her movie,  "Coat of many colors."  She had big dreams, and her dreams were made BIG because she believed in herself.  

I also think of big dreams when I hear the song...."With a Broken Wing" sung by Martina McBride.  I hear it as a woman who had big dreams, however, she felt trapped in her life situation and was struggling to fulfill those dreams.  This song does leave one wondering if through her brokenness, she died by jumping through the window, or if the open window with the curtains blowing in the breeze, were enough for her to escape to find freedom that would lead her to her dreams.  

Dreams are things we hope for, or things that we want to become.  Dreams have a way of stretching our imagination and by doing so, we are able to find amazing joy just by looking through a visionary lens in hopes of living those dreams.  

Dreams make life worth living even if you have to wait years upon years to finally get that dream.  Same as having a bucket list......a list of things that you want so bad to accomplish.  

For some people, dreams do die, and it does bring pain.  Can you imagine the pain that comes when a bird has a broken wing and it can no longer fly?  Without help, the bird will most likely die.  This is the very reason that we must always be alert to those around us.  When a dream dies....let us be first to lift them up and heal any brokenness that they may have.  

"He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength.  Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."   Isaiah 40:29-31

 I know.....this is a lot of Snow!!  

I know I have said this before, but truth is truth.  In TEXAS, the weather has a mind of its own.  As one friend put it.....

"That's how we know Texas is a woman.....she can't make up her mind.  The last few years I'm convinced she's having a mid-life crisis."

I honestly had on shorts yesterday and the temps were closing in on 80.  Today, it is chilly and we had a lot of snow!  Did it accumulate?  No!  Because our temps are above freezing.

Quick update on Trey:   He is now walking on crutches.  He is allowed to put 30% weight on left leg (still) and has already had 2 days of out patient therapy.  Got to get his core built up so he can protect the back.  Prayers are still needed and I thank you in advance.
