A little "This and That"........

I love it, when the family gets together.......which is quite often!!

As you can see, we have a serious game of "darts" going on......Trista and Shanda were both concentrating so hard and this next picture will show you just how serious the game was...

When the tongue comes out......You know it is serious!

I played a game or two, but the darts did not hit anywhere near the dart board.  I need practice!

These two sure do love each other....Lots of sister love!

~~~~~~
Hard to believe that this "Granddaughter" is a SENIOR!
A small photo shoot.......LOL   It was a HOT day and we were
trying to keep Tori cool.    LOL....
Wild sunflowers at the farm, make for some good photos!!
It's a "Happy Birthday" to me kind of Saturday!
My kiddos make me laugh when it comes to my age.   I honestly do not think any of them really know how old I am.  I think I've been 49 for YEARS!  This year, I told them I was turning 56....after all, my daughters are now in the forties, and my son-in-laws are in their upper 40's.
Sam has a Birthday Dinner planned for me tonight, and I can't wait to celebrate.....
It's a great day to be 66!
As I sit here this morning in "my chair".......I can see the sun shining in through the windows with great force.  The light is not only coming through the windows, but it is also beaming through the set of French Doors that separate the office from the living area of our home.
Thank goodness....you all can not see what I see!!  ðŸ˜Ž
The picture that I am seeing is not so pretty!!  LOL.   My windows need Cleaning!  I Love seeing the Sunshine....but oh my, I sure need to clean some windows...
This made me think: 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I am so very thankful that God see's my life through HIS lens and not through a lens that the world sees.    HIS light shines through my life, and HIS love transforms my life into something that I never knew could be.
God's Love "Shines" supreme!!
"Thank you Lord for the reminder this morning, that YOU are able to cleanse me and give me a bright life, in order for me to serve you  with a pure heart."
May each of you enjoy your Blessings today....
Sam and I journeyed out to the farm this past Saturday morning, and picked LOTS of summer pears! A huge perk of growing trees for a living, is that you have all kinds of fruit at your disposal.
There were several rows of Pear trees and each one of them was weighted down with fresh pears.  I can't wait for the persimmons to get ready!!
I knew this was going to be a week of canning Pear Relish and making Pear Preserves....and I can truthfully say, it is so rewarding to see all those beautiful jars, filled with goodness....on the shelfs in my pantry.
 Cooking down the pears.....
The first batch yielded.......6 quarts!  Two benefits from the Tumeric that is used in this recipe is......The color is beautiful and the Tumeric is good for our health.
 Same for the second batch!!!
I have about 6 more batches to go this week..
The end result.......The most delicious Pear Relish, ready to be used in many different ways!
I'm going to add jalepeno peppers to some of the next jars and see if we like the "bite" that the peppers will give.
We love eating this relish on Fresh peas and beans.  It is also great served on top of a baked potato, with a dollop of sour cream as well.
I don't think I could ever make TOO MUCH of this stuff......
Pear Relish and Salsa......you can never have too much!!
Have a Blessed Day...
I am not a perfectionist, but I am treading very closely on the heels of expecting perfectionism of myself as well as other people.  Crazy...I know.
This is not a good thing!!  It really is not a good thing!!
Even if I wanted to claim to be a "Perfectionist"...... I really would not be!  For, who of us are perfect?  None.... No, not one of us.
So, where do the words "Stress" and "Peace" come into play with the word Perfectionist?
These two words are all about our TRUST in the LORD!
Is there a word such as expectation-ist??
"Expectation means believing that a task will be done in the best way possible, whereas perfection is the definitive one hundred percent right way of doing anything. This means that expectation is something which all humans can have, whereas, one must realize that perfection is seldom achievable by mankind."
Stress is something that happens when things do not turn out the "PERFECT" way you are "EXPECTING" them to turn out!!
I can't beat myself up if the expectations that I desire in others, does not meet up to my "Per-fect-ex-pect-sion-ism"
Perceived ideas can cause Stress.
When I saw the above picture quote, I had to stop and read it several times.....
I try to do EVERYTHING myself.....because in my mind, I am the only one that can do something the way I am expecting it to be done.
Why stress over such trivial things in life?  Rolling with the flow can be so much less of a headache.  What happens, happens.... and if the results cause situations to turn out different from what I had planned, then it does!
Ha, Ha....who am I kidding.  I like things/situations to be near perfect.
I'm working on myself....
 I know that PEACE comes from giving Everything to God!!
God did not intend for me to do everything on my own...HE is not the giver of STRESS.  HE is my PEACE!!!
Just something to ponder about...
Good morning friends.   The past two weeks have been like a  world-wind.   A whole lot of busyness.
Today is the start to the 2019-20 school year!  Wow...Summer went by fast!    I've enjoyed seeing all of the cute pictures on my FB page, of the kids dressed up...holding their backpacks!  Prayers for a safe year!!!!
                                                    ~~~~~

One thought that I would like to place on your hearts today, is that when we pray for something, we must always remember to give God the Praise that HE so deserves!  Praise HIM and Thank HIM for all things.

As I lay in bed last evening, I was reminded of my prayers just the evening before.   So often, we/I fail to Thank God for even the smallest of prayers that have been answered.

I never want my repeated prayers to become so repetitive, that I fail to thank the Lord for His goodness.   I pray for protection over my family every single day.......   This means that it is so very important for me to Thank God and to Praise Him, for protecting them.

Thank you Lord for hearing my simple prayers.

"As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after thee. You alone are my hearts desire and I long to worship Thee."

Enjoy your day!
