Country living is the best though, and I envy you! Love the wide open spaces!Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02158336083462589188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-856115860459514900.post-60622583087969492252014-08-18T17:03:26.197-05:002014-08-18T17:03:26.197-05:00I live in THE COUNTRY...and I love it!
There was ...I live in THE COUNTRY...and I love it!
There was a time when I lived in THE CITY...and didn't know any different. Rode the bus where ever we wanted to go!
After I married-- I moved to Tyler... sort citified back then, and I've lived in the 'BURBS too.
I can say I liked living in a SMALL TOWN too... the kind of place, where I could hang my laundry out, no HOA, I could walk to the P.O. - the library, the town square, the hamburger joint on the corner (that makes me sound old, doesn't it? hamburger joint.LOL!) I could even walk to the grocery store if I wanted to... and I liked it a lot!
If I had a preference-- and could only choose one, it'd be the COUNTRY!
I know I gave you more than you asked for...
of all these places, it is hard to choose...because, well, they're ALL IN TEXAS! That's my favorite place in all the earth!
;)
Patricia @ 9th and Denverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04786692442689958889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-856115860459514900.post-3574870490822694252014-08-18T13:51:53.626-05:002014-08-18T13:51:53.626-05:00I spent my growing up years living in the country ...I spent my growing up years living in the country as well as the first 20 years of marriage. I love the country. I am blessed to live in a city/town that has it's roots in the country.Within, literally 2 minutes drive,I am in the country. I love the country life....

I will say though that there are times when I miss a bigger city nearby. We drive an hour to Knoxville (semi-big-city) to do some shopping which is not available in our small town. AND--we drive about 30-45 minutes to some of our favorite restaurants --which are not available here.

BUT--overall, I LOVE where we live... I am proud of you though for doing so much walking. That is SO good for you.

Hugs,
BetsyBetsy Banks Adamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16223591156634767330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-856115860459514900.post-37939612342553611572014-08-18T10:48:55.416-05:002014-08-18T10:48:55.416-05:00You know what they say...you can take the girl out...You know what they say...you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl. That pretty much describes me. No matter where I may live, I'll always be a country girl at heart! I live on the edge of a small town with a little acreage in back and that suits me to a T! We have our "country" but with the convenience of being near "town". I like to visit cities, but wouldn't want to live in a big one.
