Happy Thursday....August 6th.

What caught my eye with this fence??  The Boot!!  Just an old rubber boot (with a hole in it) sitting on the fence post.

And.....another thing about this picture........only in East Texas will you find a Pine Tree growing in the middle of a cactus plant!   Got to love it!

A big thick fence used as a corral just outside of the old barn.  The old, rust stained tin on this barn gets two thumbs up from me.  Got to love old, rusted tin!

Joining Good Fences today.....

Have a wonderful day......

  5. I do love the rusty tin roofs on the old barns! I have a few pine trees trying to grow in my rock garden..I need to get them weeded out pretty soon or I will have trees.

  7. Great looking rusty barn and fencing. - Good eye for spotting the old boot on the fence and oh my those cacti create a bit of a fence all their own.

  10. I have to wonder why the boot was placed there. During my trip home from Alberta,I saw several fence posts that had a boot on them.

  14. That is a great old barn with the rusty roof! Love those flowers in your header, too. I know their name as well as my own, but I'm so dang tired that I can't think of it at the moment! lol! I think I better turn in soon. Have a nice Friday, Shug!

  15. Your picture of the barn caught my eye because it reminds me of a barn between Nacogdoches and Crockett. I was curious where you live in East Texas. We have a few cactus in the Nacogdoches area but mostly just pines!

  16. That poor pine tree! But you're right: only in Texas. :)

My grandparents had a tin roof, so I am enamored with them as well. Brings back memories of rain tap dancing over our heads.

Hope you have a very blessed week, Shug! Thank you for sharing images of my beloved 2nd home, Texas.
