You have got to be kidding!

That's right......you've got to be kidding!

A gator....in the middle of a four lane highway.....In East Texas??

There have been several gator sightings lately.   I just never thought one would be found so close to a town....and on the highway.

I've always heard people talk about the possibility of having alligators in our rivers....but I've never known of anyone actually seeing one.   UNTIL NOW!

We have had so much rain that even the gators are looking for higher ground!!!!!!!!!

And, since we don't live that far from the river (which is "SO" overflowing, that it has spilled out onto pasture land)....I will.....for sure....keep my eyes open for such things as a gator!!

See ya later......gator

Oh, I'm so glad you're safe...the flooding is such a tragedy! My prayers are with those families. And YES, most definitely watch out for those gators!!

Blessings,
Gert

Hi Shug!

Oh wow!! I would probably faint if I saw an alligator on one of our roads! He looks a little worse for the ware, was he dead?

I just can't believe all the rain that you guys are getting! I pray that is stops really soon. We are suppose to have a reprieve tomorrow and Saturday, and then, more on the way!!

You and your sweet family are in my prayers . . . be safe!

Hugs,
Barb

Now that's creepy~~~crawly !!!
I wouldn't go walking in the waters right now, knowing he's so close.
Gives me the heeby-geebys...maybe, dead gator in the middle of the road would be better???
Keep your toes in!

Yikes! Those high waters can really distort the balance of things.

My mom used to have a picture of her bro from back in the 40's posing with an 8 ft gator fished out of the Red River near Clarksville Texas. Scary to think there are so many of those living in our waterways today.
