A Little Box for You......

Woo Hoo.....does anyone recognize this fella?

He has been "Missing" for a few weeks, and I have truly been on the look out for him.

Here is the good news!!  I found him today...

I got myself dressed this morning and headed out.....I had several errands to run before my big day?   Ooops....I think I must have forgot to tell you all about my big day....this coming Friday.

I don't really like to talk about myself, so I had first decided that I would keep this to myself...and Sam of course.  But then....a sweet friend of mine, shared with me the importance of prayer and how she did not know what she would do without her "blogging" prayer warriors.  So, I decided that perhaps I could use all the prayers I could get for my upcoming surgery!!

Thanks Betsy....you are always the Best when it comes to giving me great advice!!

At my Doctor's advice, as well as the surgeon's....I am having Colon Surgery this Friday.   The plan is to resection my colon and get rid of all the damaged areas....caused by Diverticulitis.

Back to my errand running.   I have so much to do....{after all...wearing a T-shirts might not be appropriate for the hospital}   not only to get ready for my hospital stay but I have to get my dad re-located back to the Nursing Home.   I'm pretty sure I shared with you, that he has been in the hospital a couple of weeks now with a couple of  serious UTI's.     Thank goodness...He is better now!

I dressed warm this morning so I would be comfortable for the cool temps.   By mid-morning....I think I had shed everything but the necessities!!  The "Sun" decided to shine and boy, did it get a little warm!!

My socks were the first to come off.....then it was the scarf, the long sleeve jacket, and finally the shoes.  I did wait until I got in the car (on my way home) to shed the shoes.

It is true.....the weather in Texas can change in a heartbeat!!

I was extremely happy to see the sun shining!!

I would certainly appreciate every prayer said on my behalf for my surgery Friday!!

Thanks Friends!!
Sweet Hugs...

  3. Sending up a prayer for you, Shug. Best of everything to you. We didn't have sun in the Hill Country, but it was at least warm enough to take the dog for a walk. But I think it will be in the 20s on Thursday morning again. Ugh!

  4. So glad you shared. That Betsy is a sweetheart, isn't she and very wise for her years.

You will be in my prayers for Friday, and when I went through my cancer journey in 2009 it was my blog friends that were so encouraging and supporting.

    Love you, girlfriend.

    Hugs, Wanda

  6. Glad you got some sun today. We are having many, many gray days. There are a couple of spots in my yard that have held water since January. I'm ready for some sun. Saturday looks promising. I will pray for you for your upcoming surgery and for the doctors involved. Peace be with you, Shug!

  7. Hi Special Friend, As you know, I have already been praying hard for you --and this upcoming surgery. I Know, during my knee surgery, and during our recent ice storm and power outage, I felt the prayers of friends from around the world. That meant the world to me. I don't think we can EVER get enough people praying for us!!!! God Bless --and keep me posted.

    Much Love and HUGE HUGS,
    Betsy
