I't's Pouring.....

What is that they say?  Something like....."When it rains, it pours."

I've been hobbling around here for days...trying to get our home ready for the "Tour" this weekend!  {cleaning is the only thing left to do}

My foot is really NOT acting very nice!  I have been icing it and taking the ibuprofen like I'm suppose to be doing...but I guess it needs more rest!!

This is really not what I need at this time......to have a foot that is not working well.   But.....I'm just gonna do my best to get through this.    I've decided to make another call to the Doctor tomorrow, to see if I can go ahead and get the injection!!!!  ouch!

Another thing that I didn't need right now was......Having to put my dad in the Hospital.   The past few weeks, have been difficult for him, which is the reason that his doctor decided to admit him to the hospital and try to figure out which meds are working and which ones we need to do away with.

As difficult as the added stress is for me......I know that it is super hard for my dad.   He really gets upset with change and new surroundings.

As I went on Facebook just a bit ago....I saw where my sweet Sam had posted the below list of "You Say" "God Say's" and the scriptures to go along with what God is saying!

God's word says that HE will direct my steps, Give me rest, Love me, Forgive me, Give me wisdom, Supply my needs, and  HE will Never leave me!!

God does not give me a spirit of fear!!  I can Trust God to help me even when the rain pours!!

Thank you Lord!!

You Might Could Say.....

Good News.....

You might could say that I'm an instant Millionaire!!

Well....Maybe not....but if I were to get a $1.00 for every fallen leaf that has landed in our yard..then YES, I would be a Millionaire!

Who knew that a big ol' oak tree and a huge Pecan tree could have so many leaves?  Not to mention all of the other trees in our yard.

Just so happens that this past weekend was a super WINDY weekend, and wouldn't you know it, all of the leaves in our general area....ended up in my yard!!!

How could that be?  I guess the leaves are just drawn to places where they are appreciated!!  lol.

I can tell you....I am so thankful for the big ol' trees that provide a lot of shade, during the hot Summer...

These few leaves are still clinging!!  It won't be long until they too, are added to my collection!!

To everything there is a Season!

Ecclesiastes 3

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose
under the Heaven:  a time to be born, and a time to die;  a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A Pain in the Foot......

I am certainly not one that likes to sit around....but it sure looks like I'm going to be doing a little more sitting....at least, until my foot gets better.

My foot has been hurting for several weeks now....but I just kept thinking that {EACH next morning} it would feel better!

Let me tell you...a shopping trip like I had this past Friday....is NOT what the Doctor would have ordered for my foot problem!!!!

I couldn't wait for Monday to hurry up and get here...so I could call and make an appointment with my super nice Podiatrist.  It just so happens, that the doctor could see me this afternoon at 2:45....  YEA!!

After a few descriptions of the pain in my foot, Dr M....pretty well knew the correct diagnoses for my problem.   A few X-Rays confirmed that I have "Morton's Neuroma" which is a thickening of nerve tissue.  A nerve in my foot is being pinched!!!

He wrote me a prescription for an insert to go in my shoe...and hopefully, this will help.  I also need to rest my foot as often as I can.  Ice being applied to ball of my foot is suppose to help as well.

Have any of you ever had this problem in the past?  If so, I'd love to hear your remedies...

Hugs,
shug....
