A New Chapter

Another chapter in my life is quickly coming to an end.   I have loved every single minute of what this particular chapter has given.

Let me introduce you to the newest little 2013  pre-school graduate.    Miss Mylee Jo Booth

"Don't cry because it's over.....smile because it happened!"
                                                                                   Dr. Seuss

I can't promise that there will be no tears ......but one thing I can promise is that my heart will always be full of joy and precious memories.........

Mylee is our youngest grandchild, and now,..... she is about to step into her own little adventure of exploring those wonderful elementary school years.....

What can I say?   I'll be lost.....!  After spending approximately 9000 wonderful days.....keeping all my babies........this chapter of my life is saying good-by.

Here she is......making her way to the school

Some mighty big doors for such a little girl!
Just look at that smile.......

And here we are.......picking up her kindergarten registration folder.....

Oh yes......you can bet,  that I am sitting here with huge crocodile tears running down my cheeks.

                                               *********

I'm sure that the next chapter has a lot to offer.....now, lets see what I do with it!!

Many hugs to all my sweet friends...

Stand UP......

Good Morning Friends........

I never want to start a day by complaining......so let me first do this.....

"The blood that Jesus shed for me, way back at Calvary;

the blood that gives me strength from day to day,

it will never lose it's power.

I Praise God for this blood!  I Praise God that this blood will never, ever, lose it's power!!  No

matter what the situation  is in life........God's blood will never lose it's POWER.

                                                                        *******

The definition of ANGRY is:  having a strong feeling of/or showing annoyance,

displeasure, or hostility.

How much of  Face Book is really worth getting upset about?  Not much.....I agree.   How much of what we read is true?  How much is stretched just a bit?

I read a post yesterday.....on my FB page......that was  sharing about a recent interview that Matt Lauer of the NBC Today program, did with the wife of a Navy Seal that was killed in Libya.  According to the post, Matt asked the wife, of this now deceased Navy Seal, what she would like most for her kids to remember about their dad.   Again, according to the post......it stated that she said:  "His Love for Christ."    Throughout the day....(Again, according to the post) and on MSN homepage, replaying the story, they edited the "Love for Christ" OUT.    The reason as said in the post was because they did not want to offend anyone.

Friends......I have to tell you.....if this is true, then it makes me angry.   I went to the FB page of NBC and posted a comment in regards to this story.   I stated that I am someone and that I was highly offended by the choice that they made to leave out this very important part of this woman's story.   I went back to check on the comment that I made and guess what?  It had been deleted!!!!!!  Yes....deleted!

I am a Christian and yes, it does offend me that the news media can take testimonies and Praises away from us.....the Christians of the United States of America.

I tried to research this story myself, however......I was unable to produce the actual interview.  I am not a person that just jumps out there to falsely make accusations, but I know that time and time again I have witnessed  the media being biased against Christians.

It is very important that we as Christians stand up for what we believe in.   I believe in Jesus Christ and I know that it was HIS blood that was shed at Calvary for me.  It is HIS Blood that gives me strength every single day and because of this.....I have the Power to stand up to those that try to offend me.

I plan to move forward today and I refuse to let the media rob me of my joy.......I know where the on and off button is on our remote and if necessary......I will boycott their programs.....

Hope your day will as productive and full of JOY...

Decorated Tables

Ladies Luncheon -2013

Our ladies luncheon at church was held yesterday......I love the opportunity to fellowship with all the women in our church.   Below is a picture of one of the tables that I decorated.

I decided to go with colors of mint green, light pink, hot pink and white.  These colors all blend well with each other and are so light and airy looking.

My little princesses loved the way I decorated the chairs.  I used lengths of ribbon and tulle, then tied them to some string and attached them to the chairs.

Dressed up Chairs!!!!

Isn't this little favor just adorable?   The girls loved them.....and it's something they can use!!

This is table #2 that I decorated for this event.....

"For the love of Sunflowers"

I didn't know that I was doing another table until Friday morning.......Thankfully, I had the things I needed to pull it off.....

I didn't have the placemats that I needed for these particular plates, so I kinda improvised a bit.....
I had some gorgeous pieces of stock paper, so I combined a couple of sheets together and placed them underneath the place settings.   Wa...La....it worked great!!

a completely different look, but it turned out beautiful!!

Such a wonderful time.....and Megan (Youth Pastor's wife) delivered a beautiful message about being a mother and a women in today's world.

I am thankful for our church and for the love that we all share!!

Blessings this day..

Vacation Destination.

Hmmmmm...  I had a complete post written and then suddenly it disappeared!!!

does this ever happen to anyone else?

Argh.....Shoot......Datgum.....    and wouldn't you know it.......this would happen on
a day when I still do not feel good!    I coughed all night and this was after taking a big
cap full of NyQuil.

Oh well....let me see if I can create the post again.

I was blogging about vacations.   Last year we took a fabulous vacation to Niagara Falls (the Canadian Side of the falls)

Oh my goodness.....it was wonderful.   The hotel we stayed in was great.  Our view of the Falls was breathtaking and the weather was almost perfect.    It's pretty hard to beat a vacation that was more than outstanding and relaxing to boot.

so......this year we are having a difficult time deciding what to do.    do we want to fly to our destination?  do we want to take a driving vacation?  do we want to go a distance or do we want to stay close by?  will it be the beach?  should we go to the mountains?  It definitely will NOT be a cruise.

Do we want to take an ADVENTURE type of vacation?

this could be a good thing!!!!!

we could hiking, go tubing, do a little climbing,
enjoy the coolness of the water splashing all around us.

NOW.......all we have to do is to decide which "WATER PARK" we want to go to!!!!!!

I'll be sure to let you all know what we decide......

HOPING YOU ALL HAVE A WARM DAY.....
Brrrrr.....it's COLD here!
