"Dinner On The Ground"

When I was growing up....our church would often have "Dinner on the ground."  I loved it!!  I can still see those big tall tables, that were then... just a part of the landscape on the church grounds.

Do any of you remember those good ol' days?

Talking about some GOOD food....the ladies in our church really knew how to cook!!    Homemade food at it's BEST!

                                                  ********

Tomorrow is "Homecoming" at our church.....    Do you know what this means?    It means seeing a lot of faces from  the past that you haven't seen in a while....BUT, it also means we are going to be EATING after the service.

Here is a picture of one of the cakes I am taking tomorrow.

"Chocolate cake with Oreo cream filling"  Ummmm!

To make it double yummy.....this cake is covered with a milk chocolate icing.      Email me if you are interested in the recipe...

I am also taking a Coconut dessert, along with two delicious salads and a dish of candied yams.    (Sounds good to me)

The church furnishes all the meat  (Grilled Chicken, Grilled Beef and Grilled sausage)....isn't that wonderful?

It is going to be a fantastic day!

HUGS Y'ALL...
