Road  Trip is OVER......and it's sweet to be home.

Can you believe.... We never even stepped onto the beach on our trip to Florida??

Only miles from the beautiful emerald colored water, and all we could do was to

dream of the soft sands squishing through our toes.

How many of your are {OVER PACKERS?}  I'm guilty!!  Way too guilty.

My intentions start out great.  I promise myself, every time.....that I'm only going to carry what

is absolutely NECESSARY.

Then something happens, just like it did on this trip.

Next thing I know, we are walking out the door with one large piece of luggage, one small piece of

luggage, my huge (put my face on) bag, a laptop, the camera bag, a cooler, my pillow and my purse.

This is way too much folks!!  Who needs this many items for a four day trip, especially when we were

driving for at least 8 hours a day?

In my defense.......I must say that we originally were not suppose to back until tomorrow (Sunday.)

So,.....See,...... {maybe} there was a reason to take 6 pairs of shorts (for each of us) PLUS, six shirts and

six of everything else.....

My hubby.....{SAM} is so understanding....He realizes that it's the perfectionism in me.  It's

important for me to know that I'm not leaving ANYTHING that we might NEED behind.

He, as in {SAM} is the most perfect and BEST thing for me, EVER!

Always great to be home!!

I don't get to travel much, but when I have,I always take at least twice as much as necessary. One just never knows what may happen.:)

Goodness girl, you DID over pack. 4 tops for 4 days and two shorts would be plenty! Plus a swimsuit of course. Next time will you get to the beach?

I know exactly what you're talking about, and I wonder if my 'put my face on' bag is bigger than yours. I really am trying to do better; just taking an outfit for each day. But what if I don't want that outfit and I'm in the mood for a different one, or it gets cold or hot. It's difficult. Be try!

Oh, I probably rival anyone when it comes to packing. I've just decided that I'm never going to be a light packer. Thank goodness I'm married to a patient man. I have one whole suitcase of nothing but face stuff, bath stuff and hair stuff and I never unpack it. It stays ready at all times. I got so tired of packing it a few years ago that I just went and bought double of everything and I keep it packed and then it makes my other packing a piece of cake.

Welcome home!

I am ' definitely ' guil-ty! It is difficult to pack. You never know~~~the weather is always tricky for me and I Have to be comfortable. Bill is easy. He knows how to pack just the right amount. I'm his worse nightmare. Poor guy takes me in stride when it comes to packing.
Too bad you didn't get to the ocean. Maybe next time the swimsuits will get a twirl by the waves.

Not that I'm a seasoned traveler, but I no longer sweat packing, figuring if I have the essentials, anything else I can just buy if I can't live without it. Glad you made it safe there and back. Too bad you couldn't at least dip your toe in that beautiful water!

Guilty as charged! I really overdid it this vacation. The car was packed to the max. Hubby didn't say too much about it, thankfully.
Glad you got home safe and sound!

Hi Shug!

Heheheheh . . . I just could not help but giggle just a bit when I read your post! Isn't it funny the things that we think we can't live without?! I HAVE to have my pillow when I go out of town . . . it's a must!!

Hugs,
Barb

Welcome home!

I traveled extensively for years when I was in sales and mastered the art of packing light... except for shoes! I always had way too many of those.

I believe over packing is important to keep me sane. I get very worried over not having what we might need. My husband is also very understanding. He is happy when he asks for something and I have not forgotten it. Hope you have a great day.
