Is It the Lazy's?

Crud...and can I say crud again?  Just take a look at the picture above.  This is where I want to be everyday, all day long!  Most of you probably already know this, because I really have not been putting much into each of my blog post, lately.  Be honest, how many of you can tell?

Yesterday, I asked Sam if he thought I was getting lazy or if he thought I was just extremely tired.  Thank goodness, he didn't say LAZY!  I'm thinking I might not have taken that too well if he had gone with the answer that begins with a "L"

I think I'm way disappointed in myself right now.
Why?  Because I am actually suffering from laziness or the "Just Don't Care's."  Oh, I know...I'll blame it on the heat!

I think I need a good ol' kick in the pants or, I need a prescription for some kind of positive emotions exercise, right about now.

                           Doesn't this look comfortable?

Check this out.....I haven't used my camera in about a month or so.  I have not created anything  new in the decorating world, for about three or four months.  What's up with this?  I certainly do not know!  I love to create...but right now, the (ove) seems to be missing from the word Love when it comes to decorating and creating.  In other words, I've kinda lost part of my love!

The kitchen?   I am struggling to get back in the kitchen, and I have no idea why.  My interest is just not there.  We watch cooking shows all the time and as I'm sitting there watching them, I really get excited.....until it's my time to go to the kitchen....

Nope, it's not depression....I've been there a few times, and this isn't it....   The best way to describe  it is to say I feel like I've been bucked off of a horse and am in need of some much needed rest.

I need to check with my Canadian friends to see if the swirling fog is still bouncing off of the Falls, at Niagara Falls....Perhaps I brought it home with me...and perhaps it's what is causing my brain fog.

I plan to mention this to my doctor this week, when I go for my check-up, but I can already hear his answer....."I think you need a sleep study test."

It's absolutely not that I'm sleep deprived!!  Oh no, no, no!

So....who wants to come on down and give me one of those swift "kick in pants" with a Texas size boot? Maybe, just maybe this is what I need to re-energize my body!

Hugs y'all
Shug

  1. I can see where you are coming from. I get in that way when I do lots of work with out much rest. Then I get to a point where I can't find the power to do anything but think about all the stuff I need to be doing. I hope you start getting your get up and go back. Maybe the doctor can help.

  2. Shug, my dear, We suffer from the same ailments. I have the toughest time getting energized lately. It's been hot this week way up here too so I turned on the air and started the oven this morning...go figure, but I Had to do something with the overripe bananas and the excess zucchini.
    HoHums, that's what we have.
Hang in there, The football season will give us the 'kick in the pants' that we need.

  3. Hi Shug!

I think you just have a good case of the summertime blues!! It's almost fall, the weather will cool down, the trees will start turning, and the holidays will be just around the corner! I think it's wonderful that you are taking life easy - keep up the good work! By the way, those football games can wear a girl out!

    Hugs,

  5. I know how you feel. I have felt like that many times. I have a thyroid problem but I don't take meds. for it.
The one thing I do take for the last few months is organic Spirulina. Two tablets twice a day. Let me tell you I now have so much energy!!!

  6. Sorry... the fog is still on the falls, so it's not that. maybe it's just the long hot summer, and maybe now that the Fall is coming on, it will change. If you just need a change of scenery, you can come and visit here, but I won't kick you...I just couldn't lol! Hope you're feeling sunny side up soon!

  7. SHUG!!! You are NOT lazy!! I know I have never "met" you but I know you are LAZY. We all need a break now and then, life is crazy and even our creative spirits need a rest. Give yourself 2 weeks off with no guilt!!! from blogging and you will find you can't wait to start again!! That's my advice.
Mary xox (But don't stay away any longer than that cause we would miss you too much!!)

  10. Oh, you are probably just in some kind of a funk that will more than likely pass very soon. And, then, maybe you are tired and do need to rest. If so, that is just fine. Take care of yourself!
