I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will
Never forget how you made them feel!!

I am thankful for the beautiful pictures of joy that we can capture on any given day.....

Just this morning, as I was about to enjoy a delightful  cup of hot coffee....I caught myself  listening to a story on the news....

It was about a bus monitor who had been bullied by several boys....The next story that came up, was about the jury trial of an adult man that supposedly has taken advantage of some young men...

And.....I am sure that you all have heard these same stories, being told over and over again by the news media....

Now really...is this a great way to start the morning?  Absolutely not!!  Wouldn't it be wonderful if the news media could not talk about one bad or evil thing until after midnight?

I really don't watch very much TV as it is, and from now on, I certainly do not intend to listen to all the negative news....at least until I have had a second or third cup of coffee.....

Well...that's my rant for the week....

I had much rather be out finding something good to do....something wonderful to take photos of....or just taking a quite walk with just me and the Lord!

Hey now.....Y'all have a good one!

  1. This is a fabulous picture of the kids!!! I agree about the news. The Sandusky story, Phil will not listen to it and turns it off whenever it comes on, which is ALL THE TIME!

  2. Shug, I agree! I watch House Hunters on HGTV, a couple comedy shows that make me laugh and to heck with the rest. I do NOT watch any news, or listen on the radio either. I do keep up with politics, but usually on the web, and I certainly try not to make it a priority. It's so depressing.

  3. The news is so depressing! More of the good parts of life need to be highlighted! There ARE good things going on in the world!

  4. Hi Shug!

What a good looking bunch of kids - I'll bet you are so proud of them!

I have to agree with you, I can hardly stand to watch the news. Even here in our little community, it seems like there is so much hatred and violence. You think I would be used to it, as I was a legal secretary for many years, and did mostly criminal work!! I will never get used to it. I don't watch much television, and I am very picky about what I watch - I only watch the weather on our news channel. Please, keep ranting, maybe someone will listen! Oh wait a minute, someone is listening . . . and He loves us. Thanks for letting me vent too... :0)

    Hugs and Blessings,

  5. I agree with you 100%! We need to hear happy unlifting stories on the news. The newspaper and news are so depressing.
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. I so agree with this. Too much focus on the negative. That is why I love being out in nature and literally focus on the positive. Heading out today to do just that.
